We are planning to use our pack n play as the bassinet once we bring baby home. I put a waterproof mattress pad and fitted crib sheet on it last night and now I'm questioning if I should actually purchase play yard-specific sheets. The mattress pad is a basic quilted one from BBB and it seems pretty thick and "cushy." I tucked in the extra material from both as tight as I could but it still seems loose and I'm concerned it isn't safe.
Anyone else out there experience this? Does a play yard sheet make all the difference? What about the mattress pad?
Thanks!
