For those who do not know PGAL is Pregnant After A Loss. We welcome anyone who has had a chemical pregnancy, miscarriage, still birth or loss of a child and are now pregnant again. Being pregnant after a loss comes with a lot of emotions and, while we're thrilled to be here, it's scary as well. Hopefully we can use this check-in to find support and friendship in other women going through the PGAL experience.
Note: Sorry I missed last week. Life has been a bit crazy!! I have tried to stay on top of the announcements but if you see that I have missed someone who should be in the PAL graduate or honored sister group, please let me know! Thanks! Love and luck to you all and congrats the the new Rainbows!

Re: PGAL Check IN
Symptoms?: GERD, BH all day long, insomnia, hip pain
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share?: I'm on strict bedrest because LO decided he wanted to come out at 34wks...they stopped it with terbutaline. I have 6days of bedrest left, and they are creeping by so slowly!
Dr. check up & NST on Thursday.
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions?:
1. try to keep my sanity once LO is here.
2. Tone up body once I can work out
3. Eat healthy
4. Love & cherish my expanding family with everything I have.
How many weeks? 36w4d
Symptoms? Really uncomfortable and tired. I feel like my insides are all bruised up by my ribs.
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! I had a regular OB appointment yesterday. Everything was smooth. Weight gain is still right where it should be, I had my group B strep swab, heart beat was nice and strong, baby girl is head down, and my cervix is still closed
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions? I don't really make specific resolutions usually, but I always plan things to try and improve my life. Some things I've been thinking about lately - finishing my BA (should be done by June at the latest!), reading more books, cooking more healthy meals, doing more small, nice things for family that they don't expect, and I started one of those jars of positive things for the year in hopes of focusing more on the good things in our life!
How many weeks?39w5d
Symptoms? Lots of contractions and lost my mucous plug.
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Baby is still flip-flopping between breech and vertex. I am meeting with my back-up midwife tomorrow afternoon, I have a chiropractor appointment tomorrow night, and a regular prenatal appointment friday morning.
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions? I have some goals, but not really resolutions per se.

How many weeks? 37w5d.
Symptoms? Acid reflux and crappy sleeping. I was pretty uncomfortable yesterday with BH, especially when walking. I seriously need to drink more water to try and ward those off.
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! I have an NST on Friday and a final OB appointment/NST this upcoming Monday. I check in to the hospital a week from today and will be induced the next day, January 9th. I'm freaking out about it.
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions? I want to make the most of 2014 - this is going to be a big year for our family, and I want to make every moment count. I also want to get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight, start running again and run two 5Ks.
How many weeks? 37wks
Symptoms? BH is in full force but feels like a mild menstrual period cramps (no contractions).
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! After 6wks of being head down, baby is now oblique and head is not engaged. Hoping we'll have better news on Monday.
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions?
-exercise daily starting in March.
-be an awesome mom:)

Symptoms? Feeling pretty good actually, after last week was pretty rough. I think she is comfortable where she is. Hungry and having insomnia nightly but able to catch up on sleep during the day while it's been slow/holidays at work.
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! Next appt not until the day before my due date! Last cervical check was Monday still at 1 cm (for two weeks now). Apparently she has not dropped either!
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions? Just to appreciate what we have. 2013 started out so badly with our loss, and this pregnancy has been such a blessing. I can't imagine focusing on anything but this little girl after she arrives.
Symptoms?: Just general discomfort
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share?:
Appt tomorrow
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions?:

I was in labor and delivery yesterday for my weekly BPP and twice weekly NST and they said LO is ready and her lungs are functioning beautifully so we are just waiting now. I see my Ob tomorrow and then again on Monday.

My New Years resolution is start my new career... I'm so excited!! I just graduated college in november and have been waiting to Job search until LO arrived.

Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? Next appointment is on Monday.
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions? Not really. I am just focusing on surviving life with a newborn and toddler. Bringing DD#1 was really hard on my marriage, so I am hoping things go smoother with this little one.

"Life is like a camera, just focus on what's important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot."
How many weeks? 38 weeks 3 days ... 284 hours to go! (until c-section)
Symptoms? Cramps, possible infrequent back labour, increased discharge, heart burn, fatigue that requires daily naps.
Any updates or appointments coming up that you'd like to share? (If you have a new rainbow (and some time) give us an update!! My baby girl is stubbornly breech. They attempted a version on Christmas eve which was incredibly uncomfortable. They got her as far as transverse and she slingshot herself back into the breech position. Currently my c-section is scheduled for Jan 14th, which is at 40 weeks and 1 day and I am hoping that we can move it up to next week. MH and I are getting nervous about the possibility of going into labour and having trouble reaching the hospital quickly.
GTKY: Any New Year resolutions? To be good to myself as I learn to be a new mom. Not to set too many expectations and not beat myself up when things don't go according to plan.
I can't wait to meet you Neva Margaret Rebecca
