We latched without a shield for the first time since we left the hospital! So proud!

We are still using a shield. What have you been doing to get her to latch without it? Would love to get rid of these things!!

I've just been pinching my nipple until he latches for a good few minutes. He comes off a lot though. But I'm sure once he gets use to it he'll do fine. Getting him to latch on his own is the problem now.

That's encouraging! We are still using a nipple shield and I don't see how we are ever going to get along without it.

I felt the same. It's so annoying to have to search for a shield every feeding. And the dog ran off with it the other day. Along with my pad.
