Does anyone have a pickup truck?

We need to get a new car for my husband, and he really wants to get a pickup. Any recommendations? We obviously want to get something safe, that has the extended cab/back seat for the car seat.  I appreciate any suggestions or things to avoid.

    My husband has a Silverado extended cab (4 door) and it is great for us! K's car seat fits in back with no issues and there is still plenty of room in front for me.

    My dad has the F150 and Graham frequently rides in it with lots of room to spare. It gets good gas mileage too and it's pretty comfortable. We are Ford people, we've had great experiences with the ones we've owned.

    MH has a Toyota Tundra and loves it.  It currently has 180,000 miles on it and has never needed anything but oil changes and tires *knock on wood*.  It's really roomy, nicely equipped, has a place for my sunglasses too (ha) and fits everything we need for B on trips.  He has a massive, throne-like car seat and it still has plenty of room.

    Ryan has a Toyota Tundra and LOVES it.  He's had it for 8ish years and has had minimal problems (mostly regular wear and tear type things).  He will probably never get rid of it.

    MH has looked at other trucks at least 10 times and can't get past his Tundra.  He is expecting to teach Bryson how to drive in it.  haha

    No kidding.  I always had a thing about foreign vehicles because of my Dodge family, but that truck has been awesome.  We pay it off next week and have never had to do a thing to it.  He even bought it a year old with 75K miles on it.  I'll have to try to find the Top Gear episode- MH would love it.

    I had a 4runner that lasted forever and it was always my favorite car. We will definitely have to go check out the Tundra!
