Parmesan cheese...help!

Just put that powdered Parmesan cheese topping on my dinner and didn't even think to look at the date on the can. It's 'best by' date was 6 months ago! Ah!! Does this stuff really go bad? I'm kind of freaking out!

Give it a sniff. If it still looks and smells ok, then you're fine. Even if it doesn't, I'm sure your baby is fine.

Factoid: Samuel Pepys buried his block of Parmesan in his garden during the great fire of London and it survived. It was too expensive to lose apparently.
