I am so ready for DH to go back to work! He has been off for a week and if I hear one more time how he is on vacation one more time I am going to scream! He doesn't want to change diapers, thinks he should get to sleep in every day, and just is generally being a bitch. I've tired talking to him, I've tried getting angry, I've tried ignoring him. Now I am just counting down to when he goes back to work so he stops complaining about how I do things. He's been home for 8 days and he hasn't gotten up with the baby and let me sleep in once. Apparently you only get vacation if your job pays money :( Thanks for letting me vent!

    I'm sorry! Dh was home for five days a very helpful for the most part but I was still ready for him to go back today. Sometimes it's nice not to have another person to fit into my schedule.

    I just don't understand why he gets to sleep in nearly every day while I get up with DD but when I want a chance to sleep in I'm being unreasonable. His excuse is that I can nap with DD later, which makes no sense since he naps nearly every afternoon as well. Also, I don't think napping is the same thing as getting to sleep in. So frustrated! He takes over an hour to get out of bed and then wonders why I am annoyed by the time he gets up. Day 9 and I have been up at 7 every single day while he isn't up until at least 9 every day.

    Sorry!! No one in this house sleeps in and grown ups don't nap so I'd be mad if dh thought he could!!

    He spent 10 days sleeping in and playing video games or iPad and still thinks I am an uber bitch because "it's his vacation". I did get to sleep in this morning finally but the rest of the day was gaming and a 3 hour nap :( thankfully he is back to work tomorrow...

    He's on vacation from his job not being a parent, or a husband, or a functional adult. DH has been on vacation for the past 3 weeks, and while he has indulged in video games, naps and TV time, he still gets up with DD, does laundry and has actually been cooking and cleaning MORE since he has the free time. I'm sorry your DH is being such a slacker.

    My DH is very helpful when we have days off together (which is few and far between), but when he is on "vacation", he has that same mentality of thinking he gets to sleep in and take naps. It wouldn't bother me if we traded off with sleeping in, but he didn't offer that. SO I had to have a talk with him and explain why this was unfair. He gets it now, but he still manages to get more sleep than me anyways...MEN!
