Awake all night screaming?

I just posted this on the FB group but want to hear what y'all think.
M was up from about 12-3:30 last night screaming. No fever but we gave Ibuprofen at about 12:30 in case it was teething.(I have been able to see her second top tooth bulging but not breaking the gums for over a week now). The ibuprofen didn't seem to do anything, and she screamed until about 3:30 when she finally fell asleep.
We have never had an ear infection before, but I'm worried she could have one. Would y'all try to go see a dr today? Or Just wait and see how things go?
Thanks ladies! We have felt with sleep disruptions, but never just awake screaming for that long.

    I would call the ped (or nurse's line) and ask what they think. The part about being up for 3 hours doesn't necessarily concern me, but the part about screaming for 3 hours even after ibuprofen definitely does, especially if your LO doesn't normally do that. I normally don't like taking DS to the ped unless it's necessary because I don't want him to catch an illness at the drs office, but we were there on Christmas Eve and the place was almost empty. Maybe New Years will be empty as well. Good luck! Hope your little one feels better soon!

    The only time I had a child scream for hours for no apparent reason, dd had an ear infection. Good luck!

    Thanks ladies! We ended up going to the dr and ears are fine, dr thinks the screaming was from a tooth but we also found out she has a fungal infection on her feet (eww!) I am glad her ears are ok, and we may need to try some teething tablets tonight.

    I would have put that baby in bed with me, I could not take that!

    We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.  

    We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

    Ds doesn't love coming in bed with us either unless I throw on bubble guppies. Which we totally have done at 3am when nothing else works !

    Oh we tried putting her in bed with us, that's when she thought it was play time. She has never slept with is before, but we frequently have family cuddly and play time in the morning in our bed. Last night I wished above all things she would just sleep with us in our bed!
    Tonight we tried ibuprofen before bed and hoping for sleep for all tonight!

    Too bad you can't give the drink to baby, lol!

    To clarify I'm only joking. But I have daydreamed of drugging the baby when I was exhausted. Never done it.
