Having trouble sucking

Hi ladies,
For the last day or so, DS has been having trouble sucking the bottle nipple (he's been FF since birth and on these particular nipples since October). He has no suction; the nipple is just sitting in his mouth and the formula runs out the side of his mouth. When I take the bottle away he starts to cry like he's still hungry, but he won't suck. He has a cough but his nose is clear, could the cough be causing it? He had one dry diaper in the MOTN. Thanks!
ETA: He wouldn't suck on the sippy cup either.
