1. What's Kangen water?

2. You're TTC again?? Did I miss this or are you just being sneaky about it and putting it in your siggy without telling us!? Either way YAY! Part of me wishes I could start TTC right now. Get all the pregnancy stuff out of the way ASAP, you know? But I had a c-sec so it's healthiest to wait a year. :P

I saw that on your sig when I was on my computer the other day! Good luck :)

I want kids close, but I'm not sure I could be pregnant again right now.

Kangen Water is ionized water. I live by it. It's truely changed my life. It's just a better form of hydration. I don't want to come off too "doorstep sales man" but if you're interested I will... LOL.

I think I had mention we were NTNP when we were doing the poll stuff (1st S13 to get a BFP). I'm not getting super crazy, I've started temping and charting so we'll see how it works out. I just updated my siggy because I've noticed the "power of the siggy" with relating to other people and other stories.

It's crazy to think about TTC again, we want our children close together so we thought we might as well start now in case I have some off hormonal issues and need testing done (I think I have a progesterone problem). Did you actively TTC with LO #1? I am so new to this who charting, monitoring world...

Charting is awesome. Do you use fertility friend? They have a great app. I used it when we got pregnant the second and third time (loss and then DD). It's really a cool tool.

I have heard of it but to be honest I haven't installed it on my phone. I will tonight though. I am hoping I am pregnant now (I test tomorrow morning) so I know it's super redic but I have been holding off on going balls to the wall until after the test.

The ladies on TTGP are very daunting (IMHO) so I am kind of just slowly dipping my toes in the water over there.

I have no clue how I got pregnant last time (I mean obviously sex) so I feel so out of sync with it all. I think my stress really affects my O, but I don't even know if that is possible. I need to do a shit-ton of more research.

Any info you want to share would be SUPER appreciated.

Haha, no, we weren't trying. We ran out of condoms and did it once without. Surprise! I totally understand what you mean about ttgp being a little daunting. They scare me a bit!
Good luck! Praying for a positive test tomorrow :) that would be crazy! But crazy awesome. I'm scared to get pregnant again so quickly because I feel like people would judge the hell out of me behind my back. Idk how much I care about that, though. It's really more the c-section thing.

I give you permission to go full saleswoman on me! I'm curious and I want to hear all about this magical life changing water.

Why would people judge you behind your back?

Warning:   I am not a nurse or a Dr. so this explanation is just based on the research I have done.

Okay so normal water is H2O, yes... breaking news! Well an ionized water machine will break down the water into HO and OH. The OH is the drinking water and because it is a smaller molecule the abortion rate is higher. It basically flushes your system out “better” because the water is smaller and more easily absorbed. Okay so absorbed water… great, what’s the big deal? Well water is a big deal. First proper hydration makes you feel a lot better energy wise. It also helps you remain healthier (I haven’t been sick in over a year) because it is flushing that crap right out of your system. The water-sensitive organs/parts are in better healthy because they are properly hydrated. My husband has arthritis (RA) and his joint pain has decreased a ton because he’s properly hydrated. This has been one of his best years with his RA. Great hydration helps all over, and what is nice is that you don’t have to spend all day drinking 180 oz.s of water. You get more bang per ounce because the water is smaller and more easily absorbed.

When I started Kangen water I was 12 weeks PG and I had the worst MS. Well proper hydration leads to less MS, and I didn’t have to struggle to keep a bunch of water down, one glass = 2 glasses sort of logic.

I know you run a bunch, one of our friends who is also using the water is a weight lifter. He says that because his muscles are properly hydrated he is only sore for about 1 day post-workout (compared to 3 days normally). It also helps ensure that his supplements are broken down better and absorbed better into the muscles because the transporting vehicle (the water) goes further.

The other benefit to the Kangen water is that has the proper pH. Depending on where you live the pH in your water might be all whacky. We live in the desert and ours is all sort of crazy which would cause my stomach to be really acid-y. Not anymore. And if I do get an acid stomach (from drinking wine or too much sugar) I just drink 4 oz.s of 11.5 water (which is really base) and it will cancel out my stomach acid.

Okay and last but not least. The by-product of the OH molecule is a HO molecule (water that comes of out of a different spout, on the machine). Well this HO molecule is a natural disinfectant. They way I understand it is that because of the molecular structure when HO touches anything it tries to latch on to any O molecule to become balanced. Well if there is bacteria on say a counter, and you spray the HO on it (we call it 2.5 water) it will literally suffocate the bacteria. So any bacteria on sofas, in a cut on your arm, toothbrushes, toilet bowls, dropped pacifiers, ANYTHING.

We give our LO “8.5” pH water with his formula and he’s never been sick, now I am fully aware that this could be due to 500 different things… but we spent $4,500 on this damn water machine I am convincing myself that it’s the damn water! LOL. We also put 11.5 pH on his bum and he’s never gotten a diaper rash.

Of course there’s lots of hype about the water being a fad but I have been drinking it since March and this has been one of my healthiest years. Okay – end lesson : ) Water is water, even if it is “normal” water the more you drink the better you feel. I know you know this because your active so you know how important water is!

Wow. That does sound pretty amazing. So you buy the machine and have it at your house, and just put regular tap water in it? $4,500 is a LOT though. Eesh.

And I don't know... several people commented on how quickly we got pregnant after getting married. I think if we got pregnant again within the first year, I have a few friends ("friends") who might judge us for not spacing it out more. I don't really care that much, but the idea of people talking sh*t behind my back makes me uncomfortable.
I don't judge when people have their kids close together, but I have heard my former coworkers say stuff like, "Don't they know how that happens?" and stuff like that.
  • Options

Yup, it's a machine I just set next to my counter (my FB has a couple pics). Yes it is really expensive. There are cheaper versions of a water ionizer but we "borrowed" water from a friend who had this machine for a couple months and it worked so we didn't want to risk getting a different machine and having different results...

People can be real big jerks like that. My family used to be the ones talking behind my back so I had to cut them all out because they were so much drama. I am sure I will get sly comments about the spacing of our children but I figured since I probably won't publically announce until I am 8 weeks along that's at least another month away...

I agree that obviously you should do what your Dr. thinks is best, but you also just get this feeling when you're ready to TTC again. Do you have the baby fever yet?

:Butting in: 8 months NTNP, 4 months OPKs + temping the last 2 months resulting in BFP. I used the FF app to plot my temps. The OPKs really helped with pinpointing around which CD I ovulated...temping confirmed it. Very cool how it all works. Back on the NTNP train...pull n pray (minus the pull) method.

My science brain is going crazy with this description of your water.

OH is a an ion that usually indicates an alcohol is present. And I am trying to figure out how it goes from H2O to an HO and an OH. That's too many Os. (I could see it splitting into an HO and an H - and I have actually split it into straight H and straight O through electrolysis)

Also looking strictly at the molecular formula, OH and HO would bond the same way so theoretically they would be the same thing.

I am so confused by this. I might be spending most of tonight researching this!!!

Good luck with the test. What time zone are you in so I know when to stalk for updates?

@kimberlymacrae "TTC" means that you are tracking your periods/ovulation in some way and having sex accordingly with the purpose of TTGP/hoping every month for a BFP..."NTNP" is just unprotected sex/no birth control without paying attention to timing for purposes of just trying to get your rocks off ;)

@princessvespa1:   I love the science behind it as well but I swear if I don't bust out the wooden ball molecule models it is hard for me to understand the whole process. This is the one of the helpful articles that I found that helped me understand the science behind it. The machine itself I know does electrolisis (spelled wrong)... again. One can do research research research but my proof is just in the pudding.

My MIL sells those machines, and amazing air purifiers. I've never understood the water machine she has, but you pretty much sold me on it haha. They are crazy expensive, and she was amazing enough to gift us an air purifier, and that thing has done wonders any where we put it, so I can only imagine the water machine.

@blone151188: Have them gift you a water machine!!! That is what our ILs basically did. We pay 1/2 the monthly payment $150 and they pay the other half. Enagic allows you 12 months of financing with no interest! It's amazing. Does your MIL love her machine???

@juleskeim:  I love their newb blog! It is really helpful. I just need to sit down and dedicate the mental energy to learning how it all works. I did an official into in TTGP so I am hoping I don't get chased out... but I don't feel like I am as committed as those ladies. I want to be, and when I do I am sure I will turn there more often.

@jenny5o5:  Thank you thank you! I know it will eventually. It feels like a test you didn't study for and then failed. You get what you put into it. I need to up my studying and see if I can ace this next test!!! :) At the very least at least my DH is happy because he got a ton of sex! Ha ha ha.

She's already gifted us the air purifier and an energy surge saver thing (I don't know what it's called) so I don't think I'll get this too :). I just told my husband we need to save up for one though. I'm amazed at how expensive they are!

I've never asked her about it, but I'm assuming she does because she's got it hooked up in the bathroom and will constantly go in bringing water out with bowls. (I love her, but she's different :) )

Sorry AF came to visit tonight. Hopefully next month will be better. I charted using a fertility app for two months and ovulation prediction strips to learn my cycle (Not FF. I was too lazy to invest time in that like I wanted). We got pregnant the first month that we TTGP and I swear it's because I was lucky enough to have my cycle regulate from being on BC and charting. I am sure you don't need me telling you what to do, but I wanted to wish you good luck!

I'm sorry AF came, that stinks. It will happen though! I'm actually really excited to hear about your TTGP journey and I hope you keep us all updated. :) Our DD was a total surprise so we were just talking yesterday about how different it will be next time when we are actually TTGP, the whole temping and charting process is amazing to me.

@blonde151188:   Again, Enagic does offer one year free financing. The middle grade machine, which is what we have ends up working out to be $350 a month which is really reasonable. At least for us because we are avoiding about 3 of my husband's Rxs and about 4 Dr. visit co-pays a month... my ILs have theirs hooked up in their batheroom as well. The reason is because the conversion piece from the kitchen faucet to the machine are so limited. So if you have a nice fancy kitchen faucet Kangen water machines don't hook up well to them.

@happybride276:   Actually I might need you to tell me what I am doing. It's like accountants, when they speak accounting I have no clue what they are saying. Same with TTGP veterans... sometime when they speak it so in left field for me I just go "meh...?"

@llybeck:   I will def. keep everyone updated. This month there wasn't much thought behind it. I did some mathematical calculations and just had sex and bunch for 7 days straight. I knew my body wouldn't cooperate so now I will take things much more seriously!!

Lurking... I used FF for tracking everything for 11 months. I actually paid for the vip version which gives you all sorts of other info and things to track. I definitely found it interesting to learn so much about my body. I think part of the reason it took me so long to conceive was because my o date changed constantly. It helped me to really pay attention to my CM to figure out a likely o date. Also comparing all of the cycles you track is helpful. I had a c section and do not qualify for FMLA for another year so I will not be ttc until then but I will definitely go back to FF. I was able to pause my membership so I can go back without losing time I paid for. Good luck! And yes, periods really, really suck!

@kimberlymacrae Boo to that whore AF! What a bummer.

I second using Fertility Friend. I started out charting, then I took a break because I got stressed out after a couple of months. The month I went back to charting (month 7) was the month I got my BFP. Nothing was cooler than seeing my BBT spike SUPER high. That's what caused me to test.

    Good luck next month!
