Anyone else starting miso today?

If my pharm got the miso (cyclotec) in this morning I will be starting it this afternoon. What a way to ring in the New Year eh? In a way I'm ready to get this done but also so so scared. Reading experiences online have made my fears triple.

The cytotec is not for the faint of heart, at least based on my experience. However, I do not regret it and would likely choose it again if I had to. It sounds like you armed with information and know what to expect, so you will be ok. I'm very sorry for your loss and the timing of it. This has made the holidays so hard for me and I'm ready for 2014. I will be thinking if you tonight.

Hi, how are you doing with the miso??? I'm supposed to start it tomorrow. I live on my own with my 10 month old and I have no family at all. My boyfriend lives out of country. I'm terrerified to take these pills alone. I was supposed to fly to where he is to take them so I wouldn't do it alone, but now thinking of the cost of hospital bills if needed adds to the stress

I was supposed to take it next week, but I started miscarrying on my own today. I took the cytotec in June though. I was scared half to death, but it wasn't as awful as I made it out in my head (not pleasant by any means). I am sorry of your loss.

I took it at 230 (four pills, 800mg). From 530 to 730 was the worst. two hours of pain in my life. I was literally writhing on the floor in pain constantly moaning or swearing. All I got was light spotting when I wipe. Now almost three hours later, still just spotting and no pain. IDK if it didn't work or I have more to expect later.

hugs. i had to take it under a month ago. everyone is different. i was totally terrified too. my body reacted really slow. though the experience is awful, i worked myself up too much. take care tonight.

I had very little bleeding during my cytotec experience. The heavy bleeding didn't start until a day or two after I passed the sac. During the hours I was also writhing in pain, I passed noticeable clots and then finally the sac. That's when the pain magically went away. I had about a 4 break between passing huge clots and the sac. I thought it was over, then suddenly the cramps started up again and quickly got worse until I passed the sac. Did you pass anything at all yesterday? I hope you are doing ok this morning.

katib77 just checking on you. I'm so sorry for your loss and that this is happening to you. Wondering if you've passed more, or if it is still the same. If you aren't passing more by now (24 hours after your last post), you probably need to call your doctor to at least check-in. When I took miso a few weeks ago, I took the pills at 2:30pm and had insane cramping by 8pm- passed quite a lot by 9pm. I took the second dose the next day and passed more. I was told to take a third (!) dose on the evening of the second day and proceeded to have insane cramps and passed a lot more. I was in horrible pain (lower back and uterus) during the hour or so before passing clots. I've read online that some women don't pass anything with miso and need to seek another route. I think all of this also depends on your personal experience and also how far along you were (I was nearly 10 weeks). I'm sorry I can't be more helpful! I'm also so sorry you are going through this.

I hope you are doing ok. I took 2 doses and went through aweful bleeding for 3-4 hours each passing many big clots but ended up with a D&C on Monday bc there was some debris that didn't want to leave. Everyone is different.

Thank you ladies. I passed the sac at 515 this morning almost 15 hours after starting the meds then was able to sleep for four hours. Didn't have any cramping really since 730 last night but I've been sure to keep up the pain meds just in case. Bleeding is still not hevey, just a light flow.

katib77 good to hear that you progressed and it seems like you are ok. Glad you are keeping up on the pain meds. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss...hugs...
