My mom's brother has been sick with cancer for quite sometime now. He has had a lot of complications with his diabetes recently, including having to have his big toe removed, which has not healed properly and has continued to be infected. He is in the hospital again today, and at this point they are unsure whether he has pneumonia or if the cancer has spread to his lungs. Either way, it isn't looking good for him. My mom is not doing well with the news, and I am struggling to be supportive for her while dealing with his illness myself. I keep thinking about how young he really is (66) and that he's only 8 years older than my mom. Any T&P you could spare would be much appreciated.
Thanks ladies. I've been doing alright with all of this up until now, but it's just like him and my aunt can't catch a break anymore. It's really hard watching my mom lose her brother.
This is awful. T&P to your family that he turns a corner soon. 66 is young!
I completely agree! It's hard enough to lose family members who have grown old and lived a long, full life, but he should have a lot of life left to live.
I'm sorry you all are going through this. Many T&Ps for your family!
