I am already failing at this BIG TIME. My New Year's Resolution? Don't suck.

How are your littles? How are YOU? Any challenges? Funny stories? 

Also if you're anything like me you were pretty excited to play with new toys after Christmas, too. What's your favorite thing your LO got for the holidays? What's your favorite thing YOU got?

Her sleep has been a little weird the past few nights and last night I had to let her CIO. It was awful. I'm doing well except I am exhausted from the holidays. The only challenge that we are experiencing is getting Harper to eat more and better food. She has become so picky. I have to sneak vegetables and sometimes even cheese and protein into her meals. I know I should be focusing on weaning her from the bottle but it's hard when she refuses so many solids. Funny story: Harper loves to dance and show off in front of everyone. Every time she hears music she claps her hands and sways back and forth then looks around to make sure everyone is watching her. It is the cutest thing ever.

    Also if you're anything like me you were pretty excited to play with new toys after Christmas, too. What's your favorite thing your LO got for the holidays? What's your favorite thing YOU got? My Mom got Harper a Fischer Price Puppy and Friends Learning Table. I think it is her favorite. She got so many toys that it is beyond excess. I feel really bad that she/we have so much that I am thinking about donating some of her toys to the Children's Hospital here. I got a lot of stuff too. My favorite thing is the new feather pillow DH got me for our bed :D
    That is TOO cute! They do love attention, don't they?

    Heath: M came down with this impressionable rash the day before her birthday. She was itchy and the dr said it was a reaction to a virus and then she came down with her first cold over Christmas. She fights like mad when we try to wipe her nose. She has also gotten picky with food too. I know she doesn't like yams. I tried giving her steamed carrots. She seemed to like them but couldn't chew well so I will have to continue to purée most of her foods. Meanwhile I am enjoying my time off and was supposed to go back to work on Thursday but DH has to have surgery so I am getting a longer holiday. 

    Gifts: M's birthday was last week but thankfully she didn't get too many presents since many things out there we already had from DS. She did get a new tea set from Fisher Price and has begun to role play with it. It's so cute to watch!  She also likes these simple stacking cups from IKEA.  I didn't really get anything impressive this year as we are watching our money these days.

    Eeeep, I can't believe my baby is a toddler now!! 

    We are doing well. Very busy and I haven't gotten to post in a while. I am off this week as well so I am using the time to catch up in all areas of my life. I'm starting to deal with lots of anxiety so I made an appt. to see my doctor. I'm not sure if its more hormones still regulating (I just weaned a few months ago) or what but its getting harder to manage and the things I am worrying about are not serious things that most people would care about. 

    DS is doing great! He was a little sick with a cold over xmas and his birthday party but he loved both! He is so social and loves being around people. I am so lucky that he's such a happy baby, I mean toddler lol. Challenges have been that his sleep schedule is all messed up due to the holidays and his cold. Hoping to get it back on track. 

    DS loved his instrument set! My favorite was a calendar necklace with DS's birth month and with his birth stone marking the date. DH did awesome, I love it!

    DD is doing good. She had an ear infection and strep throat the week before Christmas, but both are cleared up now. She has finally started to say real words! I'm super excited about that! She's up to about 15 words and adding a new one every day or two. Her new word today is "beep"! 

    I am good. Cd2 so I'm a little bummed about that, but glad my cycle seems to be back to "normal". DH and I had really good timing and I'm 99% sure I actually O'd this time, but my LP was only 7 days and it's kind of hard to get pg when the egg doesn't even have enough time to implant. I have my annual in Feb and will be asking my doctor about clomid. I've always O'd late and had short LPs, and I'm not into waiting for years on end like we did while TTC #1. I want to get the show on the road, so to speak.

    For Christmas DH and I got DD a play kitchen from Ikea and she loves it! It's so cute to see her "cook" us stuff! She also got a wooden train set (also ikea), some clothes, Daniel Tiger stuff, and some books and other stuff. I got some new yoga pants and an awesome Dyson ball pet hair vacuum.

    Hi ladies!
    DD is too much! She would open each present and say ooohh!!! It was super cute lol and she would hand me the paper to throw away! After about half way she just wanted to play with her new toys! Her fab is probably her little people dollhouse and her easel.
    I just love the holidays and being with family. Although im glad the stress of it is all over.
    Pangnl79- happy belated birthday to Leo! :)
    Kjsbabe- sorry. Hope your gives you something to help and TTC #2 does not take long to conceive! :)

    I'm not sure that clomid will help a luteal phase defect. Perhaps you want to ask about progesterone supplements?
    My doctor and I had talked about it before I got pg with DD and he thought the Clomid would help me O earlier and hopefully give me a longer LP. You're right, though, progesterone would probably help, too.

    DS is doing well, has a bit of a cold right now but should clear up soon. I'm good, back at work today after a bunch of time off and wishing I were home instead. :)
     
    We just transitioned DS to his big boy bed over the holidays (he was already in a toddler bed so basically his crib with the rail) and it's a "full size" bed so he has had some issues adjusting to that. He keeps trying to lay sideways in it like he laid in his toddler bed. He isn't used to pillows yet. I think a few more nights and he'll get the hang of it.

    Also if you're anything like me you were pretty excited to play with new toys after Christmas, too. What's your favorite thing your LO got for the holidays? What's your favorite thing YOU got?
    DS got a bunch of trains/tracks/train table so he has been playing with those non-stop. It can be pretty entertaining, I must admit. He got a couple of Disney movies and I probably enjoy those the most :)
     
    My favorite thing that I got was a leopard-print heated blanket. It's amazing!
