Question re myfitnesspal

For those who have used myfitnesspal while pregnant, how did you change your setting to pregnant?
IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014

  • I used it on and off during this pregnancy - they don't have pregnancy setting but I adjusted my activity level to very active (to get more calories) during first trimester. During second trimester, I "fake added" 200 calories in activity to get those extra calories recommended. During third trimester, it was 300 calories. I always set my goal to "maintain". I am almost 39 wks now find have gained about 20 lbs. I was on the lower end of normal weight pre-pregnancy. I liked using the app to keep tabs on sugar and sodium level, and it helped me make healthier choices throughout - like eating an apple instead of a candy bar!

  • @hannahyejee - I have been tracking, too. I am 20 weeks and just have it on maintenance and have not been adding calories. I love it and i feel like it is good to monitor what I am eating, protein, etc. Thanks for sharing your success! Honestly, I thought there was a way to put that you were pregnant on it.

  • Try adding pregnancy as a food. I did it for breastfeeding and it had several options depending on baby's age and it added the negative calories.
