Allie left "pink blankly" in our room several days ago. I left it there waiting to see what happened. Last night I washed it and put it away. Not one peep from her. I think we are on track to breaking her of loveys! I cried when I folded it up. She's had "pink blanky" for 3 of her 4 surgeries, during both tornados, our wreck, and every other major crisis. I want to give it back, but I feel like this is a good time to cut the cord.
Any advice? She is 6 and still has "pink bunny."

I slept with my baby blanket all the way through college. I now keep it in a box of keepsakes, but it hardly even resembles a blanket anymore.
So IMO, there's nothing wrong with still having her blankie. Taking it everywhere is one thing, but just keeping it at home seems a-ok.
ETA: I had planned to give it back before bed. We had company and I forgot.
