Any updates - just plugging along. I am getting more tired and uncomfortable, but we are in the home stretch, 13 weeks left! I have recently started developing carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms (swelling, stiffness, numbness, tingling, pain).

When is your next appt - in two weeks. I had an ultrasound a week ago and aside from being borderline high amnio fluid, everything looks good.
QOTW : New Years is just a couple days away. What is your NYE tradition or favorite memory of a NYE? I perform with an Irish dance group. We do a performance on New Year's Eve as part of a cultural celebration downtown. This year I'll just be watching, but it's one of my favorite things. Then we go to DH's parents' for a fondue party.

Any updates the fatigue, headaches and insomnia seems to have kicked in! Still fighting m/s, boo. But I scheduled the elective ultrasound for the 11th, woohoo!

Nothing to report - no signs of labor and so so thankful to have made it through Christmas without having babies!! That has been my #1 fear since learning we were having twins! (we purposefully did not try in March just to avoid holiday babies!! whoops!) I am FREAKING MISERABLE - can't sleep due to hip pain and peeing constantly, my back hurts when I stand too long, my legs and feet and hands are so swollen, sitting is uncomfortable, like really, there is no position that is comfortable.

I have an OB appt and NST right after that today - hoping all goes well at both and we can make it just a few more days. As miserable as I am, I think Jan 2 and on would make for good birthdays and bigger babies - they were under 5 lbs at the last scan and I would love to get them a bit closer to 6!

QOTW : My husband and I LOVE to go out dancing for NYE, and in the past have gotten friends together to do bottle service and have a fun night. The last two years we attended weddings on NYE! Which was also so much fun, great night for a wedding! This year, we will be hanging on the couch watching the ball drop and enjoying a box of Hickory Farms I got for xmas with another couple we know (why they aren't doing something more fun is beyond me!) ***OR*** we will be in the hospital lol

Any updates: Having a lot more BH and some increase in intensity, but still nothing painful. Otherwise still trucking along.

I love to go out and NYE is usually a good motivator to get us out of the house. We don't really have any set traditions. One of my favorite NYE's was when we went to see a great 80's hair band cover band. They're favorites of mine and we had a blast.

Any updates
Had an ultrasound today with the perinatologist. Our little girl that is ruptured has quite a bit less fluid than before. She's VERY low ready to escape and he said when/if I have contractions things would probably go fast. We're hoping to make it to 32 weeks!

How far along are you- 34 weeks 6 days!

Any updates - been feeling less movement, but every time i go for an NST they are absolutely moving away and fine. Had a BPP done on Baby A today since he was "non reactive" on NST. He got an 8/10 and B got a 10/10 so all good for now. I'm much more nervous as we are nearing the end. C Section is next Tuesday, Jan 7th.

When is your next appt? I go Thursday for another NST, and the OB. Then Monday for an NST and growth ultrasound and pre admission testing.

QOTW : New Years is just a couple days away. What is your NYE tradition or favorite memory of a NYE? Ugh, we're such homebodies. When I was little my parents used to have friends over and I was able to have a few friends over and stay up until midnight and then have a sleepover, so I remember that was a fun time growing up. Now, DH and I have been together for 15 years, we go to bed soooo early and set the alarm for 11:55, watch the ball drop and go back to bed lol. Not sure if we're even setting the alarm for tomorrow night because we are both so exhausted from getting up all night with my pain and bathroom runs I don't know if it's worth it.

How far along are you: 32w4d!! Getting soo close!!!

Any updates: not really any updates yet. Besides not sleeping well due to hip pain and back pain. I literally do not look forward to going to bed at night because it's so painful now.

When is your next appt: We have a pediatric surgeon appt on Jan 7th, pediatric cardiologist appt on Jan 9th (both for Baby A's surgeries after birth) and MFM appt on Jan 15th. Looks like the MFM won't let me go past 37 weeks and a month from today I'll be 37 weeks! Eek! One more month until I meet my baby girls!!

No NYE tradition for us. Usually we always end up getting last minute plans. But this year I'm looking forward to staying home and being low key.

I love reading all the updates! So many of you are SO CLOSE!!

How far along are you: 15w1d

Any updates: I had an appt with my midwife last Friday and she did a quick scan to see if they were doing ok in there and then listened to the hb on the doppler. I asked some questions about the OB I will be referred to and she said that he won't deliver baby B breech so I am seriously thinking about just requesting a c-section. I guess time will tell, but I was kind of discouraged because she basically said that a vaginal birth would be difficult with twins at our hospital. I have some time to prepare myself for it so that is good. I really just want the best outcome for the babies so I am pretty flexible. It is just going to take some mental preparation since I am such a big natural birth advocate.

When is your next appt: Jan 24th with the MFM.

How far along are you: 14w5d
Team/Type: di/di/unknown. Not sure when we will find out with all the ultrasounds I have coming up!
Any updates: I have a lot of headaches and am tired a lot, but otherwise really don't feel that pregnant, much less with twins. I guess I expected to feel bigger by now or feel movement that was obviously movement. Not complaining, but with my worrying self, it is hard to not be anxious sometimes.
When is your next appt: A week from Thursday I have an OB visit. Mostly just basic checkup stuff and getting an information "twin talk" with the nurses.

What is your NYE tradition or favorite memory of a NYE?: I cannot even think of a tradition, and I feel like the past few New Years, I have just been home with DH on the couch, probably watching Netflix. I am pretty sure that is what will happen this year, too :-)

Any updates: as of right now the perinatologist said there is an 80% chance of them being fraternal and 20% identical. They each have their own sac and placenta but he thinks there still might be a chance they are identical and split very early.
When is your next appt: On the 13th for our anatomy scan and then the 17th for regular OB

Any updates: Found out on Christmas that we are having 2 boys. Still having shooting vaginal pains, but the MFM says it's normal for a twin pregnancy.
When is your next appt: Jan 8th - more cervical length checks & looking at my boys!

QOTW : New Years is just a couple days away. What is your NYE tradition or favorite memory of a NYE? Used to celebrate Irish New Years at 6 pm (central time-midnight in Ireland) when I lived in Iowa by taking a shot of whiskey, then partying with my friends, who are in an Irish band. Now live in PA and have had to work every year, including this year.

Any updates: induction is set for January 13th if we make it that far. Getting real now!

When is your next appt: had one today, next one is Thursday. Cerclage comes out Monday.
Eta: also another growth scan on Monday

My husband and I usually just stay in and play games and stuff.
Favorite memory, probably ringing in the new year with my mom every year when we were younger.

How far along are you: 32 weeks Team/Type: Team Blue Mono/di Any updates: I posted yesterday out if extreme frustration, but I am still super sick with bronchitis and no signs of it letting up. Doesn't seem to be affecting the babies, though. Baby A is still head down, while B is painfully transverse. Boy does that hurt/burn. Doctor assured me they will induce me at 36 weeks if nothing happens before then due to mono/di and the placenta possibly breaking down. I've been induced with my three other boys, and the last two were so fast. Looking forward to that day!!!! When is your next appt: I have an U/S on Friday with the Perinatologist. Super excited to see how big these guys might be. They feel huge and have been on the bigger side most of the time. QOTW : New Years is just a couple days away. What is your NYE tradition or favorite memory of a NYE? IF I can breathe out of my nose tomorrow, we are keeping our annual date with my best friend from grade school and her husband at a local restaurant. It's so much fun! Then my husband and I will head back home and go to bed well before midnight. My boys will be staying at Grandma's! Thank goodness for Grandma!

What is your NYE tradition or favorite memory of a NYE?growing up my parents always had everyone over and my momma would make pizza and special kid concoction drinks. For the last 3-4 years we've spent at a friends house with 10 other couples and at midnight they burn their christmas tree. It's so fun and very kid friendly. Love it!

Hips feel 100x better after chiropractor. The area where my actual stomach is pushed up to constantly hurts/burns. More energy for now. Baby A has been head down for a month and B goes back and forth.

My birthday is New Year's Day. So we basically hang out w the kids the night before and watch the ball drop and drink "welches sparkling grape juice" w kids. We have snacks/appetizers all night and shally the next day for lunch. We go out for my birthday either that next evening and early or another day close by bc of crowds which I can't handle.
So we are awesomely boring and I love it!!

Any updates?
At my u/s Friday Baby A was 2lbs 15oz and breech, B was 3lbs 3oz and vertex. Both are now bigger than DS was at delivery (2lbs 11oz) which is a huge relief for me. Now if only A would turn head down!

When is your next appt?
Friday with my OB

NYE tradition or memory?
We usually just get together with friends and have a games night at someone's house. This year I've got an awful cold, so I think we'll just hunker down and try to ignore winter!

Any updates went for follow up u/s yesterday for cervical length check. Cervix was holding the same as last u/s done on Dec. 19th
When is your next apt Jan 9th to check babies and cervical length. We started trying to get pregnant in June. We did talk to a specialist due to my past hx with my pregnancies with my boys and surgical hx. We got pregnant in Oct. without having to turn to any fertility drugs. When went for my first reg OB she set up an u/s with the High Risk to confirm edd. This is when we found out we were pregnant with twins. A completely flooring surprise lol. One very welcomed though. My cervix has measured short since the beginning of the pregnancy. U/S on the 19th showed the cervix had shortened some more. we are having weekly u/s to check cervix. If they stay were they are (they were hoping maybe the measuring was due to the way the babies were laying) or shorten anymore a ribboned cerclage will be the next step.

It is NYE and my DH and his brother are outside working on his Harley and my boys (7 & 9) are having nerf gun wars

We will all sit down here in a bit watch a movie together and wait for the ball to drop

Updates: feeling really good considering how far along I am! Starting to have a hard time sleeping now though, mainly from my nose being so stuffed up (of all things!). Starting to get a bit of swelling now, mainly due to the heat.

NYE: no traditions, it's different every year. We moved from Canada to Australia so got to go watch the incredible fireworks display at the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Never thought I'd be doing that at this stage of a twin pregnancy, but it was really really good!! Glad I did it now as I imagine I won't be doing it next year!

Really starting to feel big and pregnant. Things are fretting more difficult. Been having side pain for the past month but have a new belly brace, which is helping.

Next appt is Friday with MFM for A/S

No traditions... Every year is different. Last night we were in bed by 10:30.
