one time when the kicks werent as regular as they are now, dh was still struggling to feel LO move. so he put his head on my stomach and said, "alright kid, this is your free pass- kick me." i thought that was so cute, kind of like early male bonding.

I found my first stretch marks this week and proceeded to complain/cry to my DH. His response, "Well, you wanted it". Let's just say I was a crying, slobbery mess the rest of the night.

When at my last appointment, I asked the midwife if in her opinion there was anything I could do to help encourage this guy out. She said, "sex, red raspberry leaf tea, pineapple and dates". My DH goes, "well, we're going to try a date tomorrow" lol! I had to explain to him she meant eating dates, no going on a date! Although, then she said "but a date may lead to sex"

Last night at midnight, after DH kissed me for NYE, he put his hand on my belly and yells with a big smile on his face, "Happy New Years, buddy!" and throws his hands up in the air. It was like we had an outside baby. It was adorable

At 8pm last night, DH looked at me and asked, "Just so we are on the same page, we aren't staying up til midnight, right?" I replied, "I'm thinking 945." He nodded his approval. I'm glad I have an old fogie for a husband!

Last night after I fell asleep early while watching a movie with DH, I woke up around 10:15 and asked him if he would be mad at me if I just went to bed. He said "It's not like you've been great company, anyways." I laughed and went to bed.

I did happen to wake up a little after midnight to go to the bathroom and he asked if I wanted him to be my first kiss of 2014. So we smooched and went back to sleep :-)

My cousin is coming from the UK on Monday so I asked hubs if he wanted anything from England. His response? "Elizabeth Hurley".... He's not the kind of guy to make jokes like that, and I'm not REALLY offended, but my immediate thought was, "hey asshole, I just had 2 of your babies!" Bring on the PP hormones!

At Christmas I was trying to take a belly picture by our Christmas tree since I actually had real clothes and makeup on (shocking since I have been a been on Xmas break!) My hubby takes the pic and then I have to "approve" because I hate every picture of myself right now. Well, I of course get upset because I look bigger than the tree (we have a smaller tree). He says "It's ok babe, we just need a bigger tree!!"

It did put a smile on my face for a minute... but at that moment and seeing that pic, I was officially done with being pregnant!

While I was on a cleaning/organizing frenzy this last week, DH asked me a couple times "do you need me to get you some twigs?". I usually replied with "no, but you can clean up X".

On a slightly different note, DS has been really cute in the last three days. He's asked me a couple times a day "can baby come out now?" He must be catching on that this baby should be arriving soon. I think he is missing daycare and his play mates, unfortunately I don't think he realizes this baby isn't going to come out as a 10 month old that can interact with him.

When my doctor came to check me out for discharge last week, he went over what not to do for six weeks and made a joke with DH about no sex. DH said it was going to take him six weeks to forget what he saw in delivery so no worries. Yeah not thrilled about that reaction.

The other night we were up in the wee hours with our gassy girl. I asked her if she wanted to try a different position and flipped her over to her belly. She made noises as I turned her. DH mimicked her and it said it sounded like she said ok. At 2 am this was hysterical.

"No we dont need the coupon holder because we aren't looking for anything else" as we were leaving the house to go exchange the swing with a broken screw. Of course at bbb I find a baby book that is 100x better than the one I just for at bru.. Just one more trip I'll be obsessing over until its done..

I was reading a mommy blog and mentioned to DH that the mom had had a fourth degree tear and had to stay in bed for 4 weeks postpartum. He asked me if that happened would I still be able to cook dinner. Good thing I found it funny instead of annoying.

@casholmes - I'd have said it would be delivery every night

FWIW, I had a 4th degree tear with my 1st, and just had to be EXTRA careful and to clean myself really well, and it was very difficult to sit. I had no restrictions different than any other vaginal delivery.

We were in labor and delivery yesterday for my weekly BPP and my twice weekly NST and they always do a full work up of the same questions.. Any changes blah blah blah and DH says "yea she's really irritable lately"... Really?! Lol

On Christmas eve we stayed overnight at my parents. I got up early (yay pregsomnia) and waited until everyone else woke up. After my husband had his shower in the downstairs bathroom where we were staying he said to me "you might want to go upstairs, i don't think you'll fit in the shower downstairs"

At least he wants to have sex with you. Mine is shell shocked and apparently needs the six week recovery like I do. However, I'm "allowed" to give him a BJ. Um, no. I'm too tired from being a human milk factory and trying to heal.
