I have my 6 weeks post csection check up with my obgyn. What should I expect? I understand she will look at how my incision healed, but will they perform an exam? I don't believe it's necessary but what to be prepared.
Incision check and a internal exam to feel that everything was healing and returning to normal. I had a pap at my 1st appt but if you haven't had one in awhile they generally do it then.
She checked my incision and uterus (external palpitation) at 3wk and at 6wk there was no exam at all, just questions. I'd had pap recently enough that it was not necessary.

Mine asked about how I was healing, never checked my incision though, asked about pp bleeding, talked about bc and how I was handling the new addition, and offered info on public health options available for nannys ect
I had an exam. Birth control set up and looked at my incision. Quick and easy.

Looked at the incision.... chatted a bit (I do remember a b/c question or two).... no exam. They weren't my normal docs though (I was in a midwife's care until I needed the c/s), so I suppose she was just following up on the surgery aspect of my care.
