Shrimp cocktail??

Does anyone know how to cook shrimp for shrimp cocktail? Do I really need to bother seasoning the water? TIA

Yes! I always season the water. I put fresh lemon slices and salt and pepper. Some people use Ole Bay seasoning as well but I don't.

Okay. I'm debating on whether or not I just want to grill them. I'm not sure if anyone had been to a Mastro's, but they have the most intoxicating shrimp cocktail. It is hard to eat any other shrimp cocktail after that.

I've never seasoned the water. And the extra hot cocktail sauce is usually all I taste.

I may have to try seasoning them in the future though.
