Just needed to express my joy to some people who understand... we made it a we year breastfeeding with no formula at all! Initial goal was 3 months couldn't believe we went so strong for so long.
I've seen the other posts about weaning and are thrilled to know milk isn't 100 percent needed as I can't see him drinking a ton of it since we need to ween off bottle soon. He does good with a sippy but often does a "ahh" at the end of drinking (thanks to dh!) and dribbles it everywhere. He also just takes sips here and there.
So question:try to wean to whole milk and no bottle at same time or is one better to do first? If I drop pumping during day will my supply stick for night and am as long as he feeds?
As for weaning off the breast I am going to let him tell me when he's done. He still wakes up to nurse in middle of night (only thing that will put him back down)... daytime feeds are getting really short and seem much easier to drop for him.

I did one at a time for weaning during the day. I transitioned LO to almond milk first. I did this by mixing BM and almond milk in her bottles at DC. I started with less almond milk 25% and worked up to 100% almond milk in the course of 2 weeks. Once she adjusted to almond milk and would drink it straight I stopped the bottles. She was comfortable drinking water from a straw cup so I just put her milk in that. She took it well and had no issues.
I have nursed AM and PM since LO was 13 months old. My supply is fine and I do not need to pump during the day.
Failed multiple cycles of Clomid+TI and Clomid+IUI
3/2011 inj+IUI #1 BFP. 4/2011 missed m/c.

Seriously 3-4 minutes and hes done and off!
Night time different story but I think we are on our road to weaning during the day... so bittersweet!!
