I really want to hire a sitter and go to the casino to dance, possibly gamble a little... But we'll probably end up hanging out at home with a bottle of sparkling cider. At least dh gets New Year's Day off. What are you ladies doing?
Probably going to bed at 9. I've never been a New's Years Eve partier, it'll still be the 1st whether I stay up to see it, or wake up at a regular time.
But you should definitely go out!! That sounds fun!
We were going to stay in because NYE is rarely fun.
Then a band I love, love, LOVE (Greensky Bluegrass) scheduled a show 30 minutes away. I wanted to go but DH was neutral despite his mutual love of this band.
Then tickets sold out while he was hemming and hawing, so I guess we are staying in while our friends jam to some sweet, sweet banjo pickin'.
Maybe something else will come up? My parents hate NYE so I know they would happily watch DD.
A friend invited us to her party, there will be other kids there...Thinking about maybe going 6-8 or so then home for DD bedtime. DH and I might try to stay up for midnight but we probably won't since we will both be up early on NYE to get to work.
We're leaving for vacation early on January 1, so NYE will be no different from any other evening. I'm working until 4 tomorrow, then need to make sure laundry is done and suitcases all packed. DH says he will bring home sushi (one positive about not being pregnant), but we'll probably be asleep long before midnight.
TTC since 3-08
IVF # 1 Dec 2011 BFP
DD born at 31 weeks 6-24-12
Family coming over for dinner... probably leave early. Its been years since we've pulled a NYE party out. I'd rather cuddle with my baby and get good sleep on a day off.
We're both working on the 31st but have off on the 1st. I'm hoping I can convince DH to stay up until midnight .... but we've both been up since 3:304;00 am (when we start our day), so I'm not sure how easiy that will be. Plus DD is going to wake at her usual time on the 1st regardless of when we go to sleep ... so that's no fun!
My Journey to Motherhood Me 36, DH 42 7.5 years of TTC ... It never gets any easier.
Baby Girl # 1
TTC Since January 2009
Reproductive Endocrinologist diagnosed us "Unexplained Infertility".
After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.
Baby Girl # 2 TTC Since June 2013 Got pregnant on our own without Fertility Treatments - January 2016! Thank you snow storm Jonas! EDD 10/15/16 At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
We were supposed to go to DH cousins house for a bit before DS bed time but DH worked all day and was tired so we picked up chili's and are spending the night as a family. We both have to work tomorrow so sleeping before midnight is definitely in my plans
