I haven't given DD any yet, for no real specific reason. I know DS was eating it by now and he LOVED it. DD's been a little slower eating, but I think she's ready now as she's starting to eat more.
I know there's Yobaby and that stuff is good, but it's also expensive imo. Are there any plain, NOT low-fat, whole milk yogurt options that I could stir my own fruit into? Any brand recs or what have you tried? And it is fine now, right? (8.5 months)
Re: Baby yogurt---what kind?
Pedi gave me the go-ahead at 8 months.
I started ds on plain yogurt (no fruit) at 9 months. No need to get sucked in by the Yobaby marketing.
I used Dannon plain whole milk or Trader Joe's cream line plain.
DS - December 2006
DD - December 2008
We do the YoBaby because it's organic. I would imagine that Dannon or any of the major brands would have a full fat plain version, but I can't be sure.
Through my township, I get points for recycling and one of the 'rewards' is coupons for free YoBaby yogurt. Next time I redeem some of my points, I'll get a couple extra coupons and mail them to you...since you've mailed me quite a few coupons.
