I'm going to punch the next person that tells me I can't do or eat something.
Last night I was jogging at the gym, and the owners mother (she does the daycare) waggled her old lady finger at me and said that I shouldn't be doing that. I blew her off and said sure I could, it's perfectly healthy.
Now, I just posted on FB about getting sushi, and my friend texted me "DONT EAT SUSHI!!!!!!!" (with all of the exclamation points), so now I'm telling her off.

Re: *People telling you what you can't do pregnant Check In*
I have no problems telling people they are wrong when this stuff happens.
I keep telling people if hot dogs and deli meat and sushi and diet pop and hair dye and body wash and lotion and deoderant were SO HARMFUL to a pregnant women, you'd have to sign waivers everytime you went inside a store or restaurant or grocery store that you weren't pregnant or couldn't sue them.
UGH.

I had chicken tempura and some avocado roll with I think shrimp in it. It was supposed to be tuna.
But even so, six rolls equals just a small chunk of sushi meat, and since I've only had it twice since I was pregnant, I can't imagine it being dangerous.
And lightly jogging a mile is no reason for someone to wag a finger at me and scold me. This womans daughters owns a gym and does fitness competitions yearly. She's had 9 m/c's and had to do IVF with her 2 kids and worked out during both pregnancies I'm sure.

Oh I know...it's just been so long since I've have to deal with it, since DD is 12 and all. I also get the 'I can't believe you want to start over again' or 'a teenage and a baby, well good luck to ya'
Sorry, I had my first kid at 19, wasn't exactly a cake walk.

Word. I'm already dreading MIL's judgment.
Also, I've eaten more beans and wieners since getting pregnant than I did all last year. Wuteva wuteva I do what I want.
I will tell her that I have done my research and discussed it with my doctor and he saw no problem with it. Hopefully that will shut her up.

I also had a coworker scold me for drinking diet pop. Luckily, one of our pediatricians was standing there and she looked at me and said "it's not the best thing to drink but I drank diet pepsi throughout both my pregnancies and my kids are brilliant so drink away." I was secretly like ha! In your face!
