Hypoallergenic Formula

FYI - for moms that need to give their babies hypoallergenic formula it may be covered under your insurance....most doctors don't know this so call your insurance company. Most insurance companies need a copy of the prescription, letter from your doc indicating your child's condition and that hypoallergenic formula is necessary.

    The challenge for us was finding a pharmacy willing to bill private insurance. I found 5 pharmacies in the state that sell Neocate and every single one said they would only take public insurance.

    A company called apria will deal with most insurances and will take care of all the work. They mail you cases of formula each month and bill your insurance for you. For my LO, alimentum is 100% covered.

    I wish. Alimentum isn't covered for us (Canada).
