Currently a name on my girl's list is Emma, but our niece is Emmelia (Ameila spelled Emmelia) is Emma to close to Emmelia? Even though they are pronounced completely different, I feel like it is her name minus a few letters.
I don't think it's too close. Side note, I would not intuitively pronounce Emmelia like Amelia.

It's not too close for cousins, but there are so so so many pretty girls names out there. I would try to find something maybe a little different because Em names, especially Emma, are everywhere.

I don't think it's too close...I think if they spelled it Amelia like it should have been spelled you wouldn't think it was too close to Emma either. Emma is a beautiful classic name.
