Ivory colored furniture

Would I totally regret getting an ivory color glider? It's 70.00 cheaper to get that color.

Re: Ivory colored furniture

  • My glider is ivory. After almost 5 years it's still pretty decent.

I guess it depends on your color scheme if you have one? I'm actually going for ivory myself...if you're worried about stains and all, there are a ton of great fabric stain/spot removers out there.

I always recommend the "look around your house" test for these kinds of questions.  Is the couch stained? Are there mystery spots on the carpet? Do you remember the last time you dusted the wall trim and/or the ceiling fans?  My answers are "Lots, too many to count, and no"  These are all the reasons I would not buy anything fabric and white/ivory.  However, if you are good at keeping things clean, I say go for it! It really is a beautiful color, just scotch guard it to be safe :)

I'm not good at cleaning lately! ;) is scotch guard something I can buy at the store or do I have someone do it?
  • @eltrain5 - such a good suggestion! My glider is light tan and looks almost brand new after two years. I am a neat freak, tho.

Definitely something you can get at the store, comes in a spray can, usually red-plaid colored :)

    Stupid quote box...Excellent! Thanks!
  • I have ivory. It was fine for my first but I had it recovered when I had my second.
  • It's this one. I like it because it can be used for boy or girl. Plus when we're done with nurseries it will fit in with the rest of our furniture
