Palate off?

Is anyone else's palate off?  I swear everything tastes weird to me this trimester.

    I have days like this, where I'm convinced that my food has gone bad or that it just doesn't taste how it normally would. I put it down to preg problems.

    09/23/11 - Married DH

    04/01/13 - BFP at 4wks

    05/30/13 - MMC - BO @ 12wks 5d

    08/29/13 - BFP @ 4wks 4d

    09/17/13 - 7wks 2d - Normal HB Detected! Baby measuring perfect for dates and positioning!  

    10/23/13 - 12wks 3d - Perfect NT scan! HB 167 & baby wriggling, waving & yawning!

    12/17/13 - 20wks 2 d - We're having a beautiful baby girl! Go Team Pink!

    05/03/14 - Bobbie Gloria was born at 39+6 weighing 6lb 14oz!

    YES! I was thinking I was crazy!  especially sushi... (the kind with no raw fish) Which is really, really sad to me!  I grew up with it and LOVE it on normal days! Especially the stuff my mom makes.  And while I'm PG it just tastes OFF :((

    Yup. Got my norm large choc milk on the way to work today and it tasted like lightly flavoured water...gross! Then carrot sticks at lunch tasted like dirt mixed w potato, it was weird.

    Feb 2/14. Saw baby via ultrasound (quick scan in ER) @ 19w6d

    Feb 6/14. Heard HB (126-134bpm) via Doppler @ 20w3d normal beat

    Feb 15/14. AS - baby looked great (measured 1w small) and would NOT let us see sex! @ 21w5d 

    Feb 20/14  3D US - its a GIRL!!!!! @ 22w3d

    Feb 27/14. Repeat AS for more pics, HB 124bpm  @ 23w3d

    Mar 6/14. Heard HB (130bpm) via Doppler @ 24w3d

    Normally I love super spicy food, but lately I just can't handle even the smallest amount of heat in my food.  I miss working up a sweat over some good Thai or Indian food.

    Like PP said, some days yes and some no. Water and coffee seem to be the biggest taste issues I have.

    Tastes and smells. I hope it goes away soon. DH is getting tired/amused with me yelling, "Omg come smell/taste this!!"

    Yup.  Never before have I had plain cottage cheese that was both spicy and tangy without having added anything to it.  I keep wanting to try cottage cheese again, because I love it, but... after that first mouthful, I'm a bit afraid to now. =/

    Yesterday, a plain roll (so far one of the few things that I've kept down successfully) tasted weird- I could only describe it as moldy Play-Doh (not like I ever ate it to know!).  Today, my sweet BF brought me a (20 oz) ginger ale to help the tummy, and it tastes like dish detergent- to me.  To him, it's perfectly fine.  So, crazy preggers-head here decided to go rooting into the pantry and ended up trying sips from 3 different 2 liter bottles of the same brand of ginger ale to see if I'm nuts.  I am.  Nuff said.

    PS- I guarantee that in two days, I'll have forgotten I did that and wonder angrily where all the fizzy went, like it's a conspiracy.
