Why I bought any new toys for DS2 for Christmas since all he is doing is playing with his old ones. DS1 is neglecting all his new toys too and playing with DS2'S new toys. WTF? What am I missing?

    Seriously what is the fascination for older kids with toys that are much below their age group?

    Because baby toys are freaking awesome.  I mean, did YOU have a princess songs castle?  It recognizes the different princesses!  I play with it just as much as Alice does. LOL

    We're looking at dividing all the toys up - minimum of four groups - and rotate through them. I think both kids get overwhelmed by all the toys.

    Same here, we bought DS a few toys and he got a lot from other family members.  The only thing he will play with is the dancing/singing Hallmark Snowman that MIL got for me and DH.

    Next year - Hallmark singing snowman and clothing!
