AW: MRI results

Hi lovelies, A bit of an AW moment.... Had an MRI last week to diagnose what my OB thought was a bicornuate uterus. Just spoke to my RE who said I have a septate uterus, appx 2 cm. this means, in addition to the hormone testing for what is most certainly PCOS, I will undergo a resection in a month or two. Still trying to wrap my mind around this. And it doesn't help that I came home to a drunk husband (he was off work today). Upon hearing the news I felt so fucking isolated, but then I thought about this board and the number of you that have gone through the same thing. Brings some comfort to an otherwise crap situation. Xoxoxoxo

March 2014:   first medicated cycle + iui = BFP!

    Big ((Hugs)) hun. I am sorry you got this news but at least you know what is going on. While, I dont have experience with any of this, I am here if you need to vent.

    ((HUGS)) to you!! I am so sorry that you didn't get better news. But you have an idea of what is going on and a plan to help, so that is good. You don't have to feel isolated, we are all here for you. More ((hugs)) to you.

    TTC since July 2012 
    BFP 5/22/13. Lap. to remove ectopic and dx with endo. 6/16/13

    RE consult: June 2014

    DX: FVL, endo, hypothyroidism, blocked left tube

    Oct. 2014: First treatment cycle: Clomid+trigger+IUI=BFN

    November 2014: Clomid+trigger+IUI again=BFP!

    BFP 11/28/14 MC discovered 1/14/15

    I'm sorry you got this news from your doctor. While I don't personally have experience with this, you are definitely not alone.

    (((Hugs))) for you getting another wrench thrown into the mix!! But on the flip side from stories of other ladies here I know that it's highly correctable...so that's GOOD news. Sometimes (for me anyways) it's good to have an answer/diagnosis so then you can deal with it.

    And HIGH FIVE for cd1!!!! I know I was so relieved for mine after waiting 11+ wks. =D>

    (((hugs))). i had a septate resection and lap done at the same time. you might want to ask about that because i had NO symptoms of endo and they were able to deal with both with one procedure.

    please make sure to ask about how they will ensure no scar tissue develops from the procedure. pm me for more info if you are interested.

    I am so sorry about this crummy news. But I agree with PP that sometimes knowing what is going on and having a plan to deal with it is better than having no known cause. ((Hugs))

    Sorry to hear it's a septum, that does suck, but it's treatable & that's a good thing (even though it doesn't seem that way right now).

    Jap618 is in a similar boat with the asherman's dx.

    SEPTATE = FIXABLE!!!!

    Do you know if it's a partial or full septum? I'm assuming 2 cm is the size so partial right?
