Burning nipple!

What the heck!??! Every now and then I get a burning nipple or two! It's usually only for a short period of time but it feels like flames are just being held to the nipple. I thought it was maybe dry or chapped and put lotion in them but nothing helps!!!

I've checked for rashes, cuts, nothing oozes, nothing abnormal!



Am I the only one????

    Nope I get it too. Sometimes it feel like fire, other times like someone is holding ice cubes to my nips. I'd say its normal. FWIW, mine have also started to leak--- 20 weeks FTM.

    I've had that on and off for weeks and my midwife hasn't said boo when I've mentioned it.

    I've found that it helps if I try not to stimulate the nipples at all. Any stimulation causes the burning sensation also, I bought some lanolin nipple cream and it really seems to help too!

    Hasn't happened to me, but it sounds really unpleasant.....I'll hope that it stops for you!

    Sidenote: Burning nipple sounds like a drink ;)
