I can't find a post like this for several pages. My friend is on hospital bed rest at 31 weeks. I'm going to see her tonight and want to take her some stuff to make her more comfortable. I know people have been taking her donuts and food but I want to take something different. What does a bed rest mommy want or need? I was thinking about a cute throw blanket, nail polish, movies, magazines, etc.
What should I take to make the hospital less hospital like?
Re: What to take to a bed rest mommy?
Also, if she doesn't have to be in the hospital gown you could bring some pajamas!
I got her a throw blanket, nail polish and manicure set, body wipes and face wipes since she gets limited showers, dry shampoo, Oreos because!, trail mix, lotion and Chapstick, two cheap movies, a Nicholas Sparks book of mine that I haven't had time to read, sparkling cider and New Years party favors for tonight, a card game, and note cards to write a friend or write thank yous for the friends who have been helping with stuff.
That's all I can remember. It was a lot but it was mostly little stuff.
I also grabbed some Starbucks hot chocolate and that was a hit.
I will probably take pjs next time because those hospital gowns are terrible! And I found out she is scrapbooking a baby book for her middle child so I will probably take her some supplies for that.
I also grabbed some crayons and a coloring book for her boys when they visit.
Thanks for the tips.
