I think we have started the wakeful period at 6 months. Woke up 5x last night and been happening for few days now. Miss my LO who slept all night.
And dh: please dont get attitude with me in the morning bc of it. Not my fault she wakes up. At least you a) got to sleep til noon yesterday, b) napped for 2hrs yesterday and c) get to fall right back to sleep when she wakes up. Must be nice

  • I wish some people wouldn't post anymore. ^^^
  • This is the fourth time I've been sick since starting my new job in September. FOURTH! :(
  • Not sure if this is really a bitch, probably more of a vent. Which I suppose could be considered bitching. lol anywho... I decided to start weaning from breastfeeding. Whenever I say it out loud, I instantly start tearing up (like holy hell water works while changing his diaper yesterday!?!), but my supply is dipping and I'm ready to have my body back. So I've decided it's just time. R had (actually still has) a cold and would refuse to nurse for more than a minute or two at a time. My pumping output is decreasing (mostly bc I think my pump is dying). If I don't drink a gallon of water and eat a million calories, I notice a dip. Normal I know, but it's contributing to the unbelievable belly pooch, and I'm just over it. And I got my first real PP period (um, my face looks like I'm 16 again...yay.) last week. I'm taking it slowly, and hopefully by mid-to late January can be completely done. We'll probably try for a third baby sometime late next year, and I just want to be me for a while. I've been in a rut for a while now, so I'm hoping this is the start of feeling better.

  • @LiLi23 you are not alone I feel the same way. My goal was 6 months and we're almost to 7. I really want to quit so I can feel like myself again. I can't workout, I have no sex drive, and NO Botox lol. I change my mind daily on what I want to do. I feel so sad when I think about weaning :((

  • My bitch is teeth suck. My LO is late with all his milestones so I was hoping he would get teeth late too. I hope he learns quick no biting, OUCH!

  • I wish some people wouldn't post anymore. ^^^

And I wish some people had more of a filter.
  • @HeartLikeMine3 I felt the same way. Especially during a pumping session, I'd be like, I'm so done. I'm not doing this anymore. But then I'd get home and nurse him and think that there's no way I can stop! But the events from the last couple of weeks and just solidified my decision. I'm still incredibly sad about it, but I know it's best for me in the long run. I also have zero sex drive. It's horrible. I'm hoping that returns to normal now, too!

  • I go back to work on Thursday after being on maternity leave since May. I'm very grateful for the time I had with LO, but I'm SO sad and super stressed about it.

What is it going to accomplish by pointing out you don't like that poster on here and the TOAT (and probably elsewhere too) other than hurt her feelings? But whatever, it's the internet, post whatever you want. It's a free country.

ETA: And if you don't want to see her posts anymore, isn't there a block function you can use?

LOLZ. Thanks for the edited pointers!

    Ditto @melOHdy

ETA. Many people share my sentiments but as usual I'm the no filtered voice of the people so IDGAF who gets their feelings hurt. @cynthia2007 needs to research her posts before hand. She will probably find some useful info if she does.
    Have a great day Bumpies.
  • My house hasn't sold yet. We are paying for two houses, and two sets of utilities, on 1 income. I figured I'd try and not work for a while...but i feel the pressure to have to work.
.....if my house would just sell, life would be a tad better.

Its only been on the market a week lol, but I'm stressing bad about it. We can only carry a mortgage for a few months.

We got home last night to someone in our parking spot so we had to park farther away to unload everything and deal with the front desk to find a spot of someone who is out of town.  It was that or deal with waiting for the tow truck to come and take the other car away.  And then we walked into a broken fridge and spoiled food and a mess on the floor from the spoiled food.

I've already complained about losing all my breastmilk.  But now on top of that, we have to get a fridge fixed (or get the landlord to buy a new one) and until then, we can't keep milk or anything around.  So I don't get my oatmeal this morning :( (I hate oatmeal with water)

And I have to work today after driving all day yesterday, and cleaning up spoiled food mess last night, and just all around being exhausted after being out of town for 2.5 weeks.  I wish I had time to do laundry and unpack to normalize things around here but I don't.  At least I get Wed. off!

  • @LiLi23 I'm struggling with making that decision as well.  And now my stash of breastmilk is gone, that I was going to use to ensure she kept getting breastmilk for awhile if I weaned.  I might just go reallllllly slowly and drop one feeding a month until my supply is too low to keep it up.  I keep waffling - I can see so many pros and cons on both sides.  And I know I will be super emotional if I do wean.  I originally wanted to make it a year, but that was before I knew I'd get so many plugged ducts and would have to cut my diet so drastically.

  • @numbersgirl08 It was such a tough decision, and I'm still teary over it! But I can't imagine losing the backup you had saved :( So sorry you had to deal with all of that. Hoping you can at least relax on Wednesday a little bit. Hugs!

  • My kid was up almost every hour last night crying. We are trying to sleep train so I didn't go in there right away and he was asleep within 5 min. Two of those times though I fed him. Once he wakes up and makes noises, I am awake for another 45 min after that.
  • LOLZ. Thanks for the edited pointers!

@jancandance- I don't believe I posted a question this morning in this post to warrant your comment about researching or posted things/questions that have already been discussed. If I did, sorry but is it that detrimental? Im not even on the facebook group so i dont see all those posts. Guess you just have to find someone to be snarky to... lucky me. Good thing I could care less.

    Thanks BC&LM

@melohdy that's why I left the group. It annoyed me.

@jancandance I just laughed so hard.

It does get tiring seeing the same questions every day.
  • Will has decided that waking up every 40-90 minutes for the last three nights is fun. Considering that it takes me 20 minutes to fall back asleep each time, I am a Zombie.

Also he's biting the crap out of my poor nipples.

    You win.
  • I have a lot to bitch about today.
Miley started getting cold symptoms Friday, Saturday she had a fever of 103.3 and started convulsing. We went to the doctor and she had an ear infection. Yesterday her voice was hoarse and she had a barking cough all night. She can't breathe through her nose and is drooling everywhere. We went back to the doctor today & she got another ear infection while on antibiotics. Meanwhile me and my husband both woke up with her cough and headaches. My grandma came home today and I can't see her, because we are all contagious.
My grandma's pathology came back... Unconclusive. Now we have to wait another week or two to hear the results. My grandfather on mom's side passed due to a glioblastma brain tumor, so knowing what could happen is terrifying.
My mom has bronchitis. She has COPD, so any lung issue is horrible. She is having a really hard time.
This time last week, I would have said this was the perfect year. The week has been the worst of my life. I haven't slept, eaten an actual meal, and my head and body hurt from being so stressed.

Awe, man. I spoke too soon. You win. I am so sorry, hon. Lots of hugs and good vibes.

I apologize @Cynthia2007 - I think it's a different cynthia in the FB group that's annoying me.  That is @cynthia071173 - she posted a question repeatedly answered here + facebook and is easily googled.
Thanks @melOhdy. I'm definitely not on the Facebook group. And I really do try to only post things I don't see already posted.

  • @jancandance @nix55 - its ok, thanks for apologizing. I feel bad for the other Cynthia- y'all sure don't care too much for her!

  • It isn't necessarily, for me at least, that I don't like her. It's that her questions are subpar... Like asking why everyone had skipped purees and was feeding solids. Not getting that solids means not BM and not formula? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Everyone was being all nice and shit to her...I had to creep in on that thread as well! Lol.
  • You can return them. Just say they didn't fit. Exchange them!!
  • I've returned a box before at BRU. Worth a try...
  • I just opened this thread.... I'm so behind!
