Has or is anyone adopting from Ethiopia?

My friends are considering adopting from Ethiopia. When we were looking into adoption that is one place we did not research as it was non-Hague. Does anyone have insight into adopting from this country? Even if it was just research?

Also, this couple is unmarried. How does that work in an international adoption?

    My best friend is in process now. With wait times being what they are (2-3 years) for a referral, there is no way I would start the process at this point. I think that a shut-down is almost inevitable, even if it is just for a while. Also, an unmarried couple would not be allowed to adopt from Ethiopia at this time. In the past, they allowed single parents but no longer do (common law marriage does not apply).
