I'm going to Miami in a few weeks for my friend's bachelorette party. Not sure about the weather, but I hate the idea of buying a maternity swimsuit to just wear once. It would be different if this was a summer baby. All of my regular swimsuits are bikinis, so I think I'll just risk the beached whale look and rock a regular bikini. What do you think? Am I crazy? What would you do?

If your regular swim suit fits, I say rock it!

I went on a babymoon when I was pg with DS1 and had to buy new suits because my old ones just didn't hold my pg chest. I bought regular tankinis with ruched sides that I was able to wear again afterwards. I loved the tankini afterwards for stretch mark reasons.

I love pregnant bikini bellies. If you can rock it, go for it! You're growing a human and that's nothing to be ashamed of. You've probably got an awesome rack to go with it too.

I bought a maternity tankini since I like swimming when I'm feeling particularly round and awkward. The top is a generously cut side ruched tankini top and the bottoms seem to be just normal bikini bottoms. If your pre-pregnancy bikini still fits, I don't think a maternity bikini would be so different that it would be worth the one time investment.

Wear it!! Maybe just bring a tank top in case the sun starts bothering your skin though. My belly burned really easily last time when I was 'swimming' in the baby pool in my backyard!

I was due with DS in Aug and rocked my bikini all summer. Did have to buy a newer top but bought a cheap one that matched the bottom. Did get some silly looks from kids though, that was kind of amusing!

Ok, you guys convinced me! Though I will be sure to try on any options I plan to pack... I have a couple triangle tops that will be staying packed away, that's for sure! @-)
