  For an everyday thing? Instead of sending to daycare.

  It will probably be more expensive to have a nanny full time than send your kid to a daycare center. The good centers in Lexington run $200ish/week for babies, so I would presume a nanny would be upwards of that amount for full time care.

  When I priced out some Nanny services, the going rate was 10 for the people I felt comfortable with and 15+ for ones that I would be happy with. And that is for full time care. The other options were SAHM that were interested in having supplemental income, but we would have had to drop off there.
