You may know by now that I love my cats. I have two and they're my babies-- they'll always be my first babies. My orange tabby is a total mama's boy and always has been a sweet, affectionate goofball. Pregnancy has brought him to a whole new level, though!
He's not just "cuddly," he's velcroed to me. Since early in first tri when I would sleep from the time I got home from work, he would snuggle in behind my knees and purr while I slept. The few times I vomited, he ran to the bathroom with me and sat beside the toilet until I was done.
Now that we're past all that, he sleeps in bed with us the whole night, and usually drapes himself over my belly to sleep. If LO kicks him, his ears twitch and he purrs. If I cough or start to wake up, kitty gets up to let me move. If I get out of bed, he trots to the bathroom ahead of me, directly to the toilet and sits there waiting for me to pee. He usually meows softly at me the whole time.
If I go to the kitchen for a snack, he follows, eats a bite of his food, then follows me back to bed. Once I'm in bed and settled, he jumps up and massages my arm or belly while purring until I fall asleep.
If he's ever sleeping on DH or at the foot of the bed and sees me stirring , he leaps over to me and starts head-bonking and purring like "shh, back to sleep."
He's always been lovey, but he's like a little nurse ever since I got knocked up!!
Re: My cat thinks he's a doula
Well i have three and the only boy has become super whiney.
The mom, has become my "cat doula" as well! She lays and cuddles, follows me around- i cannot have more than five seconds alone. Its hilarious and i love it!
Cutest thing ever! I love it!

@SassyFlats that picture is adorable!!
Our tuxedo cat is always affectionate and sleeps curled up either on MH's chest or nestled in with me.....but yours has taken cat affection ABOVE AND BEYOND.
Love it.
She doesn't follow me around everywhere tho!
I had no idea I was a cat person until I had them in my life. They've brought us so much joy and a lot of laughter. They are definitely family to us.
Except @krafish - so sorry about your kitty
We have two dogs and two cats, all who have become very clingy and protective of me. If my labs hear anything out of the ordinary, one sits next to me and barks while the other goes toward the sound. It's like a tag team affair...and makes my heart happy when they do it!
One of my cats, our first pet, will lay on my belly any chance she gets and instantly purrs.
