I'm at a loss for what to bring to a friend's party tomorrow night. There are kids and adults. Some of the adults are vegetarians and/or picky eaters. What would you be happy to see at a party? Since cocktails are out I was excited about all the yummy food, but now nothing sounds good.

Re: NPR: Favorite New Year's Appetizer or snack
I love chili cheese dip and taco dip....I will be making both and thinking of making just one of each for myself
My DH loves the shrimp cocktail dip with crackers and the buffalo chicken dip. we go all out for New Years...since it's the last holiday excuse for awhile to eat bad
Haha, no I mean does it have to be baked there, like at the party or can I do it ahead of time at home? I'm just imagining it not being so hot and melty by the time I get there (about 15 min. away)
Ooh, also deep fried pickles or bacon wrapped water chestnuts are amazing.
