GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? What are your plans for NYE?

The best gift that I gave this year is probably the carhartt sweatshirt that I got my Dad. I found it in a tall so it actually fits him well and he lost the one he had two weeks ago. For new years I plan on making a nice dinner for my DH and I and hoping we make it to midnight. We don't have cable so I can't watch the ball drop.

How far along/what fruit? 36 weeks/honeydew although I am officially giving up on these stupid fruit tickers because they don't mean shit...

Upcoming appointments? Not until January 9th.

Vents/random thoughts? There is a huge difference between carrying a breech baby (DD was breech) and a head down baby (this LO is currently head down). OMFG, the lightening crotch and rectal pain/pressure is 100x's worse when baby is head down. Sometimes I feel like I am going to get up and he will just fall out...

GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? What are your plans for NYE? DH is very into collecting all things Whisky related. I found an small company that makes picture frames out of old Whisky barrels and I bought him a frame.

NYE will be spent on my couch watching tv with a glass of wine. I will be wearing yoga pants and be bra-less. I am too worn out from all the holiday festivities to do anything else.

Upcoming appointments? Next Monday, I go in for an ultrasound to see if DD is head down, and also to measure the amniotic fluid.

Vents/random thoughts? I've hit that wall where I'm over it. I can't wait to meet this little girl (but of course, rationally, I'm hoping she stays put until 39 weeks at least). I'm ready to get the whole childbirth thing over and done with, I'm ready for my children to meet each other, and I'm ready to get working out and get back into my clothes. I say this, but I'm sure someday I'll miss being pregnant.

GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? What are your plans for NYE? I picked out 3 new charms for my mom's Pandora bracelet, all with little stories behind them for her. / Our plans for NYE are the same as they've been since 2011. We do New Year's with our good friends (DS' godparents, and whose daughter is our godchild.. do you follow?), and it consists of getting together around 4-5 PM, fixing dinner at our house, and then once the babies are asleep or in bed, we watch a movie and try to make it until the ball drops. This year, we're doing our own "Chopped" challenge, so I get to play the host while my husband tries to out-cook them.

How far along/what fruit? 36 weeks [no clue what fruit]. Based on the due date my MFM and OB are using, though, I'm measuring at 37w2d.

Upcoming appointments? OB appointment tomorrow; NST at the end of the week. I'm being induced January 9, so I have two more OB appointments and one more NST before I deliver. Yikes.

Vents/random thoughts? Acid reflux sucks ass. I hope January 9th isn't too early to take Mia. I'm nervous about labor/delivery.

GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? What are your plans for NYE? I got my parents coasters that have JJ's handprint on them [art project from school I had turned into coasters]. They loved it. I have to go back to work on the 2nd, so I'll spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day doing absolutely nothing. I'll be lucky to make it to midnight.

Vents/random thoughts? My strep B came back positive and I'm bummed about it. I know it's not that big of a deal, but I didn't want to be tied down-I wanted to be able to walk if I wanted, and now I'm worried it won't be an option.

GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? I gave my sister a date night with her DH at a wine bar. They both work a lot so I hope they enjoy some time together. What are your plans for NYE? Nothing! I'm sort of excited about it.

38 weeks. No idea about fruit.

Upcoming appointments?
I have my 38 week appointment tomorrow as well as another ultrasound to check my fluid level.

Vents/random thoughts?
I don't think she's ever coming.

GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? What are your plans for NYE?
I guess the swimsuit my 11 year old niece wanted would be the favorite gift. I didn't go all out this year like I usually do.
I plan to stay home for NYE. I feel bad that DH is staying home, I want him to have fun...but I don't want to go pick him up after he has too much fun or risk that he is drunk when I go into labor. I'm contemplating inviting a few people over but I'm not in the hostess kinda mood...so probably not.

Upcoming appointments? - Weekly checkup on Jan 2

Vents/random thoughts? - I am working tomorrow & Tuesday, but DH is still off. I swear, if he does not finish the nursery in that time because he is too busy playing xbox, I will flip out. He already missed his Xmas deadline! And I have Jan 2 & 3 off (DH is working) and I fully intended on decorating/organizing those days. So it better get done! On a completely separate note, it is our anniversary tomorrow, so we're going out to dinner

GTKY: What was your favorite holiday gift that you gave someone this year? What are your plans for NYE? - We gave my MIL a 'grandmother' pandora charm, and she cried over it, so that was probably the best. For NYE we are going to my SIL's for a dinner of appetizer-type food, there will be a few other couples there... Nothing too exciting.
