I've really fought the urge to post here and complain, but man, I am at a point where I am so miserable and just need a bit of encouragement/understanding. I am 32 weeks pregnant with mono/di boys (my surprise 4th and 5th). I'm obviously huge and insanely uncomfortable as is, but I've also been sick now for 16 days with what initially started as this nasty virus (congestion, cough, sore throat, no energy, etc.), which has now festered into Bronchitis. My OB finally decided to treat me on Friday since she suspected Bronchitis after I started running a fever and my energy dropped so low (who knew it could get lower than simply being 32 weeks pregnant). She prescribed me a Z Pack, which seems to be helping with the chest issues, energy, and coughing, but the cold part still persists. My throat is completely raw and I cannot breathe well. Have any of you ladies been sick so far in your pregnancy? I fear its never going to go away given our immune systems are so shot when pregnant. Anyway, tears have been shed, and I am doing my best to just lay around, but I am still working full-time. Encouragement - your experience with being sick while being pregnant - all appreciated!
PS - I am doing saline, steamy showers, humidifier, gargling water with salt, honey for throat, but am really, really trying to stay away from any further medication. I'm not thrilled to be taking the Z Pack either. Going to chiropractor on Tuesday.
