How do you clean your toys?

Sorry if this has been discussed before. I really need to clean and disinfect Em's toys and I'm not sure we're to start. Bleach solution? Water and vinegar? What do you ladies use? Also, how are you cleaning stuffed animals and other soft toys that can't go in the wash? Thanks for your help!

I use my pump sterilizer bags to steam clean his hard toys. I wipe down the others with a vinegar solution. Luckily he doesn't have many soft toys that can't be washed.

I soak toys in hot soapy water, then rinse. I put stuffed animals and other soft cloth toys in the wash unless it has an electronic part inside it.

We bought a new dryer that has a steam sterilizer and I've been throwing stuffed animals and such in there. Hard plastic I wipe with a soapy cloth.

I use dish soap. I bought some baby dish soap but before that I was using the regular Dawn stuff.

If I get something second hand I wipe it with a clorox wipe, then wash it with dish soap after.

Clorox wipes then dish soap. Soft toys go in the wash. I've cleaned his laugh and learn puppy the same way as hard toys and let it dry for a day.

A scientist friend of mine told me that you can put the stuffed animals with electronic stuff in it in a sealed bag for 24 hours and it will kill any bacteria. I think she said to put in in the freezer? Im not too sure.

Milton sterilizing wipes or hot soapy water depending on the toy.

Sterilizing spray or hot soapy water for the plastic toys and I throw all her fabric stuff in a big Tide Bag (the one you can use for bras, socks, etc) and run the load on delicate with cold water, no soap.

Vinegar spray. Anything that is not electronic I will throw in the dishwasher on the top rack.

Same here! It's a good day if I can brush of the dog hair I notice as the toy is making its way to her mouth.

I just read an article yesterday that dogs help kids have less allergies later in life. So your good.

awesome! because i've given up on even trying to keep dog hair away from S and well, toys...sometimes they get a rinse with hot water, soapy if I remember?

Other than throwing stuffed animals in the dryer a couple times, I don't think I've ever cleaned her toys. My bad.

I like the second options because I dip the toys (both wooden and plastic) in the solution at night and let dry overnight (not every night). I also use it for wipe downs of larger toys/areas. I use it for small smooshy/plush stuff as well, but I hang those for a thorough dry.

Also, either is a great spray disinfectant, and they smell good!

If it hits the floor in a store or something I either use hot soapy water and then spray it with Lysol spray. If it can go into the laundry I wash it like clothes.

Most of her other things like exersaucer, music table etc I just use a Lysol wipe occasionally. I don't worry too much about it.

Ill wipe the spray off but no I don't rinse it. It doesn't taste like it after, I checked! Lol
