XP from 3T: Wanted to let you know (Loss mentioned)

I wanted to let you ladies know that I might be posting here again here and there as we navigate our future.  So I wanted to let those of you who know me, know what has happened.  For those that don't know me, I was a Oct. precious pumpkin for my IVF and Nov harvest hopeful for my FET.

Our BFP that we got just before Thanksgiving has ended.  I got to spend five fabulous weeks knowing I was pregnant, doing everything in my power to be healthy and happy.  My RE had me on weekly U/S every Friday.  We saw my little angel three times, twice with the tiny heartbeat beating away.  Only to go in this part Friday and that beautiful flicker was gone.  No heartbeat.  Missed miscarriage.  

I go in tomorrow to find out how we are moving forward (D&C, or miso and miscarry at home, or fully natural).  I've been hyperventilating now and then at the sheer though of it.  I am heartbroken with this second loss.  

We've taken so long to pay OOP for 5 IUIs to finally get 7K in insurance coverage and use it all for our IVF & FET cycle.  This was our only frostie.  Because of also spending that time paying down debt etc there is now the choice of taking a $15k 401K loan to possibly do IVF one more time OOP but we had planned that if this IVF hadn't worked that it would be the end of our journey - so we have some hard choices ahead of us in the coming months.  

All this to say, I might be posting here and there.  I don't know what else to say.  I never imagined after four and a half years I'd still be trying to get my take home baby.

IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)

IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN

    This really left me in tears :( its not fair. T&P are with u as you take the time to make your decision. The emotional/physical aspect of IF is hard enough, but being OOP makes it so much harder *hugs*

    I am so sorry for your loss and to read this. I hope that we will all be able to provide some support throughout this awful time.

    I just had a missed miscarriage after IVF, too. It's unspeakably awful, and it seems like it should be against the laws of the universe. All I can say is that I'm so sorry you're in this position, made worse by the financial decisions you now have to make. I did the D&C, as I spent about 10 weeks miscarrying an ectopic in 2012, and didn't want a painful drawn-out process like that again. One nightmarish day in the hospital and it was over, which seemed better to me, although all the choices are awful.

    TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism. 
    BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI 
    2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d   
    D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.   
    Hysteroscopy to remove both 10/5
    IUI #5-7 50mg Clomid + trigger = BFN  
    IUI #8 Femara + Bravelle + HCG + Progesterone = BFP 3/27/13
    Beta 1 (13dpo) = 169  Beta 2 (17dpo) = 1073  No heartbeat at 9w3d.

    @katib, I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I've always been a cheerleader for you, with everyone else, and no one deserved this more than you. I hope you can find some comfort and make a new plan soon. IF is terrible emotionally, physically and financially. I hope we are both on PAIF soon. Hugs!

    I am so so sorry for your loss, Katib77.  IF is unfair and cruel to begin with- adding a loss makes it all the more devastating.  There are never any easy answers, but I hope you and your DH can come up with a plan that feels right for you when the time comes. 

    Please know that I am thinking of you, your DH and your baby with thoughts of love and peace.  <3

    4 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone +TI cycles= all BFN
    Lap in 2012 to remove large unresolving cyst discovered endo and double lobed ovary.
     6 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone IUI cycles= All BFN,
    1st IVF w/ICSI- June '13 Antagonist: Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelix, HcG, Estradiol, Crinone= 7 retrieved, 4 mature, 1 unfertilized, 2 abnormally fertilized, 1 normally fertilized.  2DT of only embryo and our miracle BFP.
    Our beloved baby boy was born sleeping Oct. 13, 2013 due to pROM/IC/Uterine infection.

    Oh no!  This is just horrible.  I was gone for a while and when I came back in late November, I was thrilled and so excited to see that you had moved on.  I'm crying now for you.  I can't imagine the pain you are going through.  I'm so, so sorry for your loss.  Take the time that you need and we will be here for you.

    I am so sorry for your loss.  I just had my second miscarriage over Christmas, so I know the pain all too well.  I will also be doing my second IVF most likely after I go through all the RPL panel. We will also be out of pocket. It's so unfair when we have to deal with the burden of finances on top of struggling with IF.  I hope 2014 brings all of much better luck for our take home babies!

    DX: Unexplained
    6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  
    IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 
    Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???
    12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical
    After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  
    2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
    BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28

    There are no words. You are an amazing person and I am praying you and your DH can support each other knowing that I and so many others are keeping you in our thoughts/prayers.  You must be in shock and have every right to take as much time in deciding how you will proceed, as you did preparing for this FET.  You inspire me and WILL get through this.  We are all here for you.

    Married August 2012 -- Me (40 yrs old) My husband (45 yrs. old) 

    RE referral from ObGYN in late Jan. 2013 -- Testing Confirms Unexplained IF 

    IUI #"s1 - 3 (Femara + IUI) April - June 2013 - all BFN

      Decided to do IVF... Began stimming on September 10th!  Egg Retrieval 9/20/13.  19 eggs: 6 to mature to freeze after 6 fertilized with ICSI

     3 morula stage embryos transferred on 9/25/13.....Beta #1 on 10/4/13/ = 7.5  Beta #2 on 10/6/13 =  negative

      IVF#2 - Lupron plan  (set to begin on 10/28/13)  (Planning on thawing and fertilizing our 6 eggs with ICSI as well as all of the mature eggs they retrieve with this fresh cycle.)

     Late October 2013 - ectopic pregnancy - methotrexate injection....benched 3 months

    CD1 - 12/5/13...Lupron set to start on 12/26/13; CD1 - 1/2/14....Baseline 1/3/14....begin follistim tonight and continue with lupron.  (Got my calendar today!  IVF#2 is a go!)

    ER = 1/14/14  (11 eggs....9 were mature. 9 fertilized.  Of the 6 mature eggs we thawed, only 4 fertilized.  At this time, we have 13 eggs fertilized and growing.  Waiting for news about a 3-day or 5-day transfer.)

    ET = 1/19/14  (5dt).....3 blastocysts transferred!   (All nine embryos didn't make it to freeze.  =(  )

    Beta #1 = 1/28/14   (2 weeks after ER)  BFP! 209 (9dp5dt)   EDD 10/7/14

    Beta #2 - 1/30/14  (11 dp5dt) 302

    Beta #3 - 2/3/14  (15 dp5dt)  1222 

    Ultrasound set for 2/17/14......TWINS!        Twin A - HR 124 bpm; Twin B - HR 126 bpm

    Final Ultrasound with RE 3/10/14 - Twin A - HR 176 bpm; Twin B - HR 177 bpm.

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    Oh Katib, I'm so sorry. The only thing I can tell you is that I stopped treatment in February after ivf6 (de2) but reevaluated in September as I was still so unhappy. We just took on a ridiculous amount OOP for a DE guarantee program. Take your time deciding. This is hard stuff and it sucks.

    I'm so sorry.

     TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
    Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

    Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!

    Oh my gosh I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and DH. IVF is totally unfair. I'm thinking about you both and hope you take the time to pick up the pieces and are able to come up with whatever plan works best for you and DH. :( I'm so sorry
    2013- 2 IVF cycles with PGD to prevent genetic disorder from being passed on. Both BFFN :(
