Cora's birth story

Well the c/s went as good as possible. If you are one of the women who were worried about epidurals/spinals not working again, mine worked like a charm this time. (I had three that didn't with DS) Cora came out screaming at 36 weeks so I thought we were in the clear. After 40 min I knew something was wrong. The NICU doc finally brought her over for me to see. She was grunting and retracting and breathing too fast. I told her to go that NICU is where she needed to be and I understood.
My OB told me that because I had contracted so much my uterus was paper thin and there was a window they could actually see her. If I had gone any further it was likely my uterus would have ruptured. Good thing we had already decided to be done after 2 kids.
Cora is a freaking rock star. She came off cpap last night so no more OG tube. She's breathing normal with no episodes. She's getting iv fluids and antibiotics but is finally in an open crib. She nursed for the first time this morning as well! FXd that she does well enough tonight that she gets to leave NICU in the AM.
I'm getting some blood, but besides that everyone was right. Scheduled c/s are much easier.

Oh thank goodness you had your c/s when you did before your uterus ruptured! So glad you and Cora are doing well, she's beautiful!
