At the boys six months well baby the pediatrician said they could have diluted pear or apple juice. Today at the store I bought Mott's tot juice which I thought was apple because it looked like apple and was sitting next to the non tot apple, but it was really apple white grape juice. Is it okay for a baby at seven months to have grape. I figure it's going to be diluted so it probably won't be a huge deal. Just wanted your thoughts and knowledge.

Is there any medical reason why your boys need juice? It is really not recommended to give juice to babies. Water will suffice. Most people give juice (usually prune or pear) because of constipation issues. Juice has no nutritional value except for a ton of sugar.

Why not just give puréed pear or apple instead of the juice? A bit of pear always gets my guy going. But I don't give juice for the reasons pp mentioned. That said, to answer your question the grape should be fine. GL.
I'm also in the purée camp, as we've never used juice. We did plum purée for the constipation days and it worked great!! My pedi says fresh fruit first, but juice should be given in this order for constipation: Prune, pear, apple. I don't know that you'll get much bang for your buck with white grape juice, but you could try.
Hope it helps!!

Thanks ladies! We've done apple and pear purees. I will have to get prune and try it. It seems more and more that C has the same pooping issues I had as a baby that have followed me into adulthood.
So is it okay to give water now? I know when they were born we were told no water.
