Silly Formula Question

So, DH bought some 8oz ready made bottles of formula.  LO is only eating 4oz bottles.  The bottle says to pour what you need, and then put the rest in the refrigerator.  And then it says that it doesn't need to be heated.  Do I give the rest to her cold?  Or can I warm it up?  I've never given her anything cold, because I always warm my bm up to room temperature/a bit warm.

Sorry it's a silly question.  :)

I usually get a cup of hot water and place the bottle filled with formula (just the amount you are serving) in the water for a min or two. Cold formula I've noticed gives LO a belly ache after so I try to at least get it to room temp.

  • Thank you! Since the bottle says you don't need to heat it, I wasn't sure if that meant I shouldn't heat it.

  • You can run it under warm water too. We do room temp, cold gives her a belly ache.

  • Maybe my LO is only one of a few that can tolerate cold formula! Sorry if you follow my advice and it's hurts your LOs belly!

Nah, we do cold, too. Right from the fridge. He's too impatient to wait for me to warm anything.

  • I would pour it into bottles, and put the bottles into the fridge and take them out/warm them as you need them.  Prepared formula/bottles are good for 24 hrs
