Hello All,
When I had DD I had a major oversupply and unfortunately didn't get to the right resources in time and my DD would not latch. I EP'd until 12 months for her. I do not want to EP again. Will I have an oversupply with this next baby and how can I calm it down? I pumped over 60 oz. up until I weaned my DD, and that was with 2 pumps! I tried everything- pumping a little bit multiple times a day and cutting pumps, but it never worked. I know a lot of women have the opposite problem, but this has it's challenges as well. I donated a lot of my milk, so at least that was a blessing! I just don't want to be tied to a pump and enjoy time with my children. Thanks for listening to me and I hope this all made sense! Thank you
Re: pregnant with #2- oversupply with the first
I have no advice- but will say that just like no two pregnancies or babies being the same, no two breast feeding experiences are the same. I had very low supply and only b.f. baby#1 for weeks and supplemented the whole time with formula. This baby has been EBF for 7 months and going strong
I still have a bit of an oversupply and I have to be careful with pumping but we had such a smoother start this time.
Unfortunately, you can't make the initial engorgement go away, but I didn't have those rock hard porn star boobs for days like last time. It was definitely night and day.
