So a week ago at 5w 1d my 2nd beta had risen by only 50 and indicated I would miscarry. Both my OB and one of the OBs I work with told me this. The OB I work with worried about ectopic because the betas were so wierd.
I have no pregnancy symptoms. None. I have had cramping from the start. I cried and my Christmas sucked while I carried pads along everywhere so I was prepared for the bleeding. Thursday my cramps became stronger at work and i had some light brown spotting. I was glad it was finally happening. No more spotting but more cramps so prepared for potential heavier bleeding overnight.
Woke up yesterday and nothing. Ugh..I had to work so asked OB at work to do a quick scan to make sure its not ectopic. I didnt want to end up in the ER over the weekend.
There was an intrauterine pregnancy with an obvious hb measuring 6 weeks. Right where i should be. Hb of 112. No explanation for betas,cramping or spotting.
This probably sounds awful but I had prepared an accepted this was over. Now I have to worry more. For longer. And its going to be worse when it is over. It has to be doomed due to those betas, the cramps, lack of symptoms and hb of only 112. Sigh...thanks for reading. Feeling overwhelmed.

I have no advice but ((hugs)). For what it is worth I wouldn't read too much into a lack of symptoms and cramps, those are normal. Did you ask for repeat betas?

No. Betas wouldnt mean much at this point since US showed a hb.

So sorry that you are going through this. My LO had a HB of 110 at 6 weeks so there is plenty of hope left.

So sorry that you feel so jerked around. All that waiting just sucks. FX that baby keeps growing and that heartbeat gets stronger.

agree with eme that HB of 112 at 6 weeks sounds normal as the heart just started beating. i think at 6 wks 4 days my baby's HB was 110. Good luck to you.

starts at 103 and ends at 126 bpm

HB of 112 is PERFECT! I hope everything goes well!

My baby had a heartbeat of 110 at 6w1d. I'm now less than weeks out from my induction, and she's been great the entire pregnancy. I'm so sorry you're in limbo right now, but I do hope that LO continues to grow!

Yes last week. 2 docs have told me supplementing wasnt going to be helpful. Im ok with that since i dont want to prolong it.

Wow I can't imagine the roller coaster you must be on.. The hope is a good thing but it is so much more devastating when you are all full of hope!

Cramping if not severe is normal. I had brown spotting too also can be nothing means it's old blood. and a good heartbeat!! It must be so frustrating daring to hope only to find more spotting.

I really cant imagine the torment you are going though...

I really hope this ends up being your miracle baby!!

The limbo roller coaster sucks. My betas did not double appropriately beyond the first two and were very low for gestation. My RE says that ultrasound is more indicative of outcome than betas at 6w. I hope your baby continues to grow and thrive.
