Two Under 2

Here we go again (cue freaking out)...

Well, found out yesterday that I'm pregnant with #3. Surprise! :/
I'm feeling pretty guilty that I'm not as excited about this one as I was with #1 & #2. I know it's helpful that the little thing cooks for 9 months, but I still can't get over the feeling that this little one wasn't quite desired or expected. I know there have got to be others who have felt the same?!?!?!
We won't quite be 3u3. DD will turn 3 in May and I think my due date is the beginning of september? (I have no clue when my last AF was) DS will be one in a couple of weeks, so we'll have 2u2 again.
Fun (and crazy) times! :):)

  • Not me personally, but my cousin recently found out she is expecting (surprise pregnancy) and she and her husband thought they were done. She cried, but now that the shock is over she is excited. I think it's normal to freak out with a surprise pregnancy.

  • We were not trying/not preventing when I got pg with #3 the first time (had a m/c).  Even though we were happy with the idea of a third, when I got pg, I started freaking out.  I already had 2 healthy kids - what was i doing rolling the dice for a third?  What if something happened to me during the pregnancy - who would take care of my other 2?  And on and on.  Then I had a m/c, and was super sad about it...so we started trying again.  Then I got pg with #3 for real - and even though I had the same concerns, I was ready.  Everything went ok with the pregnancy, and we had a second little girl.  We can't imagine what it would be like without her!  The big kids love her, she loves them, and while it makes life crazy having 3 small kids, I wouldn't change anything.  My DS was 2 months away from being 4 when she was born, and DD#1 was 2.5 - so I didn't have 2u2 again.  I am sure you will do great - it is rough in the beginning, being so outnumbered, but you can do it!  Congrats!!
