Do your kids play on it much besides during the summer months? I'm trying to decide if we should put one in. I love our backyard because it is super private and beautiful. I would like to spend more time back there, but the kids never want to. They insist on going in front to the culdesac because they can ride bikes. I think they are just bored in the backyard because there isn't much to do. It is sloped in most areas so they can't play soccer or run very easily. We do have one flat spot in the side yard that would work for a play structure though.
My concern is that we live near Seattle and it is often either raining or just wet outside. We have no problem being outside when it is wet, but I would be concerned about the wood becoming slippery and the kids just not wanting to play on it during those months. We have great summers, but they are short and we are usually really busy, so I'm not as desperate for things to do.

Love having a backyard set. There are so many moments when I say "you're nuts - everyone outside!" Even if it's just 10 minutes before dinner it's always worth it.
