We were thrown a diaper party so we now have lots of different brands. Jack still has a rash on his bum. I noticed the rash started when we switched from pampers to huggies. Anyone else have issues with different brands? Specifically huggies?
I personally hate Huggies. DS never got a rash from them but leaked through every single one. DD1 would get a rash from them within 5 minutes. We only do Pampers.
I mainly use Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive and have since DD1 was a baby. I made the mistake of using the regular Pampers Swaddlers w/Dry Max once and she got the worst weeping, bleeding diaper rash. It's not uncommon to hear of that reaction with the Dry Max -- it's just too irritating for some babies. I won't even attempt using them with this LO, but every baby is different...my friend used them with her daughter and no problems. I've also used Earths Best (best green diaper IMO) and 7th Gen without issue. Never really used Huggies, except for the pull-on kind now DD1 is older, so no advice on those.
Ours could never wear any diapers that have any scent what so ever. So no pampers, Luvs, Huggies. We can use the kind from SAMs club which is helpful because they are cheap (price)!
We do pampers sensitive when young. Once they hit size 3 I switch to huggies (little movers or snug n dry). I won't use pampers with dry max. I hate target diapers and luvs. It's definitely a trial and error thing. Everyone has different opinions.
Been using pampers and huggies and just this morning opened a pkg of up and up (target). J was blowing out of the huggies the past few days. However someone gifted us a huge box of huggies. We'll just use them. With my other girls, I found it depended on their body shape. I've been lurking on the CD boards. H says no. I'm seriously considering.
I use huggies for my older kids and they work great for them but prefer pampers when they are little littles, and I did with my olders too. I had a package of regular pampers of my Little Man and he got a diaper rash and switched back to pampers swaddlers and they work much better, no more rash. I think the swaddlers wick away the moister away better than the regular.
We're also fans of Pampers Swaddlers for the young stage. When Ds1 outgrew them, we switched to Luvs for day and Pampers Baby Dry overnight. We'll probably do the same this time.
I had one box of newborn huggies and I could not wait to be done with them. Every poopy diaper I had to change her clothes as well. I use pampers now, my LO is 3 weeks old and I use the size 1's. pampers newborns are to tight on her legs.
