Birthday Blues Venting

Having a total pregnancy emotion driven day. :(. Today is my birthday and we are still at my parents house for the holidays. We had a great day with my siblings and a nice dinner with my family.

DH decided he wanted to get in the hot tub with my sisters and brother in law. Clearly, I can't participate. I've been sitting inside alone since 11pm while they all laugh and drink in the hot tub. I can't go sit outside to even conversate because it's 15 degrees out.

Feeling like crying on my birthday and sad that DH is inconsiderate about this. I'm sure that I'm overreacting... But this sucks.

Thanks for letting me vent.

    Happy birthday !!! I would feel the same way. If he's anything like my DF he doesn't even realize what he's doing is inconsiderate. Just tell him to come inside and say you want a foot rub and some cuddle time !

    This is probably one of my least favorite things about pregnancy- I constantly feel left out of things like this because there is so much I can't do (or at least, I feel like it). I know I'll probably have these moments after the baby is born too because I'll be home caring for an infant, ha.

    I'm sorry that happened! People can be really inconsiderate. Happy birthday! And, hey, you can always use that as an excuse for a second day of purely birthday celebrations.

    Thanks ladies!!! I've declared the whole weekend my birthday weekend, ha! Trying to convince him that he was inconsiderate was useless. :(. I'll spend the rest of the weekend relaxing with my bump. Hope you're all cleaned up from the holidays and relaxing at home!

    Happy birthday! I can relate- my birthday was Sunday and we went to 2 of my DH's family Christmases and then he had to leave to go into work an hour after we finally got home. We celebrated last night by going to one of my favorite restaurants and spending time with just us.  It was very nice and totally made up for it.
