Baby carrier/sling suggestions?

We have a balboa baby sling that Jocelyn tries to sit up in, but she wiggles so much that her butt slips out of the sling. I'm not sure if we are using it right-with it cradled under her butt and legs out of the bottom. We also have an infantino gogo rider, but the snaps come undone with her in it and it leaves red marks on her legs where they hang out of. She's almost 19lbs and is starting to get really clingy, so DH and I are trying to find one we can use and still be able to do things around the house.

Re: Baby carrier/sling suggestions?

  • When my lo does not want to sit in the sling with the straddle sit (that's when he will stick his legs right out) then we put him in the "kangaroo pouch" position. He can sit straight up and see everything. I just can't do this for long extended times as I find it hurts my back a bit.

  • I could not live without my Ergo. It is equally comfortable for me and DH and I even back carried my DD2 in it recently and she is 3.

  • Another ergo here :) N loves riding around in it!
  • DS likes to pop the seat of ring slings, so I don't use them unless I know I can have a hand ready. I'd suggest a woven wrap. They're soft and very giving, so they shouldn't hurt your LO's legs. Plus, you wrap to size, so you and YH can both get a perfect fit.
